  • PERFECT! Small enough to be light and protable, big enough to present a meaningful and functional target. LOVE IT!
Style: GenZ (16") Pattern Name: Target
Love the Field Logic Youth Block GenZ Target. It's small enough to be extremely portable and big enough to present a meaningful target for both my children and myself. Every once and a while they'll miss and we'll have to search for an arrow, but for the most part my beginner archers (9 & 11) can hit this target consistently from 20-30 yards without any trouble. With 30-35 pound bows at 20 yards the arrows (with field tips) penetrate about 5-7 inches and remove easily. Even though it's only stated to accept 40lb bows or less, I regularly shoot at it with my 55 pound bow without any trouble. My arrows punch all the way through the other side but are safely stopped about halfway (30 inch arrows), which might be problematic for anybody that wishes to set up the target against a hard background. But they are still easy to remove; they slide right out. I have not shot broadheads at this target so I can't comment on it's performance in that regard, but with field tips it's terrific. If there is any negative at all it's that it will occasionally tip over when an arrow hits high, which bent a couple of aluminum arrows when it tipped over. But that complaint probably isn't fair given that it happens most with a bow that is set to a heavier LB than the target is rated for, but it does also happen occasionally with the 30 and 35lb bows. The aluminum arrows that bent were cheap and I was expecting to have to throw them away soon anyway so it didn't really bother me. The carbon arrows survive the tip-over event without an trouble (usually it tips back a little when the arrow strikes and then falls forward when it tips back, the weight of the arrows on the front pulling it over - so the arrow(s) still stuck in the target break the fall. We always have it set up on grass, maybe this wouldn't happen on a hard surface? haven't tried that). But I really don't mind this little issue as I wanted something LIGHT and PORTABLE. It would not tip if it was heavier, but it would be harder to transport then too. If there must be a trade off I'll keep the portability. All in all, though, this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Something small, light and portable that we could easily take with us wherever we go. Simply drop it and shoot. Couldn't be any easier than that. Have never had it damage an arrow (the above tipping incident not withstanding) or have any difficulty removing arrows from the foam layers. We've put a few hundred arrows into it so far and one can just barely tell that it has been used, so I expect that it'll hold up well for a long time to come. GREAT PRODUCT. Would definitely recommend to a friend and/or buy again. ... show more

  • Great for target practice
Style: GenZ (16") Pattern Name: Target
This is great to use for bow and arrow target practice. Easy to move. Lightweight makes it easy to store away when not in use.

  • Good archery target when used under proper conditions
Style: GenZ XL (20") Pattern Name: Target
I am an adult male (no matter what my wife says) and I bought this target for dense urban backyard use while my archery range is shut down. I shoot 45-50# traditional hunting bows (26.5 in. draw) and use 11/32" wooden arrows w/ 100 gr. field points (525-540 gr. weight). My backyard distances max out at 15 yds. This target is advertised as a "youth" target w/ a 40# max. The target that arrived appeared well constructed of stacked foam sheets that separate as the arrow passes through them leaving minimal target damage. I took the excellent (!!) advice of another reviewer and immediately wrapped the 8" outside depth of the target with duct tape to prevent arrow damage from sloppy edge shots. I also fronted the target with 2 one-half inch layers of (trimmed) EVA foam floor matting (see https://www.amazon.com/sk=gym+mat+flooring&crid=2CNW8BW2O0QWW& sprefix=gym+mat%2Caps%2C227&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_7) and a cardboard mounted target face. I used 4 metal target pins to hold this all together. Sounds a bit complicated, but the whole job too about 45 minutes and you really don't need the extra EVA matting, it just adds life to the target. After I finished these modifications, the target worked beautifully. With a 50# Damon Howatt Mamba (same arrows above) I get about 5-51/2" inches of penetration @ 15 yds. I've put at least 200 arrows into this target and I haven't seen any signs of a pass-through. HOWEVER, if you're thinking about hitting this target with arrows from a traditional or compound bow that has a speed greater than 180-190 fps, you're probably going to see some pass-throughs, particularly as the target ages. So those are the limits I've found for adult backyard use. If you stay within these parameters, the target has a number of important postive points: (a) relatively cheap, (b) really light weight and easy to move around; (c) quiet arrow strikes keep the peace w/ the neighbors (some bag targets really pop when you hit them); (d) layered foam construction that minimizes the damage to the target from arrow strikes (extended life over solid body targets). If you cannot stay within the above parameters, you probably want to think about buying a heavier bag target like a Morrell Yellow Jacket Supreme. Good shooting! ... show more

  • Great for youth. Under 40lbs draw weight
Style: GenZ XL (20") Pattern Name: Target
Works great. Easy to get arrow out. Would use against a wall or attach stabilizer so target don't tip over but works great.

  • Great quality backyard archery target
Style: GenZ (16") Pattern Name: Target
This target box is definitely great quality it's lasted 2 months so far almost from ordering it. I use 55lb sas siege compound bow lowered to about 40lbs its perfect for 25ft to 30ft grass yards. With fiberglass and carbon arrows no broadheads used practice arrows tips only. The arrows come out the back half a ft its okay but kinda dangerous don't use more powerful strength bows on this foam target. When full of over 10 arrows sometimes if fallsover kinda annoying fyi ... show more
