I was afraid glitter would be shedding everywhere and it would feel bad on, but the band looks and feels fine. The top is scratchy but I haven't noticed irritation while wearing it. The only time I saw glitter come off was when I accidentally pulled the loop down over the band quickly, effectively scraping it over the surface, and one piece fell.
