So often it seems like I have to pick either color or smooth writing. These check both boxes! And I love the coordinating highlighters. No leaks, good quality, ink dries well after writing / very little smudging. Definitely recommend!

I hadn’t explored pens and highlighters for Bibles in years, and I found this set to be really nice. I use the gel pens for note taking in my journal as well, and they work great. The gray pen is a bit difficult to see at times, and the gel ink gets dry a bit easily, which impedes writing and underlining a bit if you’ve put them down for at least a minute. They and the highlighters do bleed a little on really thin paper, but it’s not bad. The light color scheme is genius because it can be seen on the pages you want, but the bleed doesn’t bother the eye on following pages. Overall, they’re a bit moderate in quality but very useful, and even though this wasn’t my first choice of color scheme, I’ve grown to like it a lot. ... show more

I ordered the earthy highlighters and pens. The pens write beautifully, and the colors of the pens are vibrant and accurate to what was advertised. The brown and green highlighters were perfect, but the red, blue, and aqua highlighters were slightly more saturated than expected, and it is hard to read when used over pencil. When any of the highlighters are used over pen, though, everything is perfectly legible (minus some color combinations, ie red highlighter over green pen). highlighters felt like they were running out of ink, but after a little bit of use, they were perfectly fine!! they are very lightweight but they feel like the brake easily. I don’t know how to explain it. The pens are very nice when you write it’s very smooth, and it feels like they have ink for days. The colors are very vibrant! This pen/highlighter set is worth 3.5/5 stars. It is a multicolor set of earthy tones. Pros: The colors are beautiful. They shipped incredibly fast and all colors work well. They get the job done. Do not bleed through paper. The pens have this stunning matte finish on kraft notebook covers - I've never seen anything like it, not incredibly legible, but stunning. The highlighters are the perfect amount of sheer and go very well with the ink pen. The pens are a decent weight and are balanced. I haven't noticed any skipping when writing yet. Cons: The pens and highlighters feel and sound like they are made out of bottom of the barrel plastic. If you are looking for a luxe-product, this isn't for you. I have no faith that these will continue to work well for very long. The shape of the highlights is strange in your hand. If you have any sort of hand-issues, these are not for you. All in all, I'd recommend them to a friend who doesn't write a ton and is on a budget and likes fun colors, or just collects office stationary - because they are pretty + functional.
