There was 1 piece of the lace overlay that wasn't sewn in which I would've fixed, no problem, had it fit. So we sent it back and will be ordering the bigger size. My daughter wears a size 14 and xl was too small. Just in the waist! The bust was fine! Everything else was great! Was worried the lace short sleeves would be scratchy, but it wasn't! Soooo cute. I got loads of compliments. I absolutely love the dress because I usually dress pretty conservatively but I also want to be "in style." I felt covered up but still sexy at a white party on the beach. It was so perfect! The fabric is not super breathable so if you're a hot mess in a hot climate, keep that in mind, but it's still flowy enough that I was able to get enough air flow in 85 degree, humid weather and not totally pass out. Don't know when I'll be able to wear it again but I really love it! I have slightly bigger arms and a big butt but small ribcage and bust, so I found that a M was perfect for my 165 lb, 5'8" frame. The part of the dress you want to fit to you is the ribcage and bust because there isn't really any give there. Arm holes are spacious and butt area is flowy so even if you have a big booty, you should be fine. Also I'm pretty tall and the dress was pretty long on me (but perfect) so if you're a shorty, it might be too long for you. ... show more

This dress was pretty but I didn’t love that the trim areas were see-through. I prefer a more modest dress. It is also double layered with a lace overlay and felt too hot to me. Would be nice for formal events.

I absolutely loved this dress! Very forgiving. I'm 5'2, 150lbs, 36DD and typically an 8/10. Dress has lots of stretch. It was a bit long, but nothing that a seamstress couldn't easily hem if I wanted, but I liked the extra length. The small fit me best. Ultimately, I did return this dress. While I loved the style of this dress, I just couldn’t make it work on my body. The pictures with the flower belt are a size XL, and the ones without are a L. The large was just too tight under my breasts and I’m only 7 months along so I still have some growing to do. The XL dropped the band that was supposed to be under my breasts down too low. That band ended up partially over my bump, and since there was no stretch to that band it was uncomfortable. This would probably work for a smaller chested pregnant person, and it definitely would’ve worked on my pre-pregnancy body.
