  • Works Well
Style: AF2000-02
Performs well. Compact. Seems to be good quality, especially for the price.

  • This works great for me!
Style: AF2000-02
Good little item to have in a small air compressor set up. It's very solid and the drain valve is easy to operate by just a single press. This works great for me.

  • Two essential screws missing.
Style: AF3000-03
The filter comes with no directions, but they are not needed. However the two self taping screws needed to mount the filter to the supplied bracket were absent from my order. The holes are there, but NO SCREWS! It could add anywhere between 4 to 6 dollars to your cost just to get the two screws needed to attach the filter to its bracket, because chances you can't buy just two! A person might be better off in the long run, considering both time and money, to spend another six bucks on a filter than comes with everything you need to mount it. Otherwise the filter itself is fine. ... show more

Filters air as it should for my airbrush compressor, along with an inline air filter.

  • 2 line dryers in line, a desiccant and still didn't help my problem.
Style: AF2000-02
I have 2 line dryers in line and a desiccant connected to a clean diaphragm compressor & lines. It's in a dry environment and I still got water, so not impressed. Next is a refrigerated dryer... I'm sure they must have removed some moisture out of the air, just not what I needed. All the dryers on the market are pretty much made the same. So it isn't a problem with this companies dryer. It is just, these type of dryers don't seem to do a good job of removing water. ... show more

  • Missing screws
Style: AF2000-02
Its plastic and cheap yes. They could have at least given you the machine screws to mount the plate that comes with it. Won't know how well it works until I dig thru machine screw collection to mount it. Good luck yours might come with them.

  • Auto draining compressed air water filter
Style: AF4000-04
Water in your compressed air system can cause a multitude of problems: system components can rust and become hazardously weakened, air tools can be damaged internally, water being exhausted from tools can damage your work piece, and water blown out as part of your air stream can mar your finish (especially during air pressure painting). But the accumulation of water in a compressed air system is a natural consequence of compressing the air - humidity in the atmospheric air is condensed by the compressor raising its temperature, and then it is cooled causing the water to separate from the compressed air. Therefore every compressed air system needs an air dryer such as this one. The dryer unit I ordered has 1/2” fittings so that it can handle more air volume than a 1/4” model with less resistance to the air flow. I will be installing this unit near my compressor and primary air storage tank (to remove as much of the water as possible before it travels very far along my compressed air lines and through other system components. An important feature of this dryer is ability to drain itself. Since this will be installed in an area separate from my workshop (partly for space reasons, but primarily for sound control purposes), it being able to expel any accumulated water on its own without my direct contact and involvement is critical to the ease of maintaining the compressed air system. It will just automatically take care of draining the accumulated water each time the system is used (which in my case averages about once a week, but not every week) - when the pressure is released, the dryer drains itself. Since additional water may separate out as the air cools farther down during transit from the compressor to the point of usage, all of my air “drops” (which actually do “drop” down from the main pipe line running near the ceiling) have a short water accumulation pipe extending vertically - below the horizontal air line connector ports - with a valve to allow water to be drained out. While all of this is sufficient for most applications, I have a secondary compressed air dryer that I have installed at the access point where I plug in my hose connected to my paint spray gun to catch any water that might condense in the pipes between the primary dryer and the secondary dryer. Dry compressed air is important to achieve, and having a dryer like this one is a key component in achieving that goal. ... show more

  • Gotta have this for painting and sandblasting
Style: AF2000-02
I've always wanted one of these air line dryers for my air compressor, but I never thought of it until I was in the middle of a project, and then I was too busy to go out and buy one. I finally bit the bullet and got this one. I thought the 1/4" NPT fittings would be too small, and I almost ordered a larger size. But I checked online and saw that most air hoses specify that they use 1/4" fittings, so I went ahead and ordered that size. It fit together perfectly. It was easy to install and took just a few minutes. Mine is just attached between the pressure regulator and the quick connect that connects to the air hose. It's not supported by anything else; it's just cantilevered out there doing its thing. It seems pretty solid though and I don't expect a problem. There is a bracket included for mounting it, but the required screws are not included in the package. As cold as it is up north here right now, there's not enough humidity in the air to try this out. I expect it will work just fine this summer though. ... show more
