waited to write this review until we'd had it a couple of months...we love it. It's only 2 of us so got the 2 burner and it's the perfect size on our patio. The legs can be adjusted to accommodate a ground that is not level which is great. We use it about 3 to 4 times a week and have even joined a group that shares recipes. I don't use the big grill but love learning to cook on this! Definitely read up on seasoning and maintaining with proper oils after using for it to last longer. ... show more

This griddle make cooking fun. Start the longer time cooking food first & then move it over to a cool side & start the next item. When you're done, everything is still warm, and only one item to clean up. I bought the 22" to be able to toss it in the RV, but decided to try it out at home. I've had the folding portable Blackstone for years. It's the coated non-stick top though. We wanted the steel griddle top just because (like cast iron pans) they get seasoned and it makes the food so much better. The shipping was a bit slow, but such is the times nowadays! It was packaged very well so no damage coming all the way across the country! I found the trick to heating is to turn it on medium heat to let it heat the whole top. If you turn on high to let it warm up, your hot spots are more noticeable and takes longer to get an even distribution. Honestly, cooking on medium is plenty for pretty much anything you want to cook. High gets too hot. Cleaning is more tedious than just washing a pan, but once it gets seasoned well it's not a big deal. Use water while it's hot to help loosen stuck food, scrape it down, coat with oil. The only thing I wish about this model is that it game with a couple of wheels on one side so you could easily move. I'm probably going to retrofit something for that because we move it in and out of the garage. I don't keep it sitting outside. Get one and enjoy! ... show more

Super easy to assemble, both burners work great, the propane regulator works awesome. The only complaint I have is their QC department might need a kick in the pants. My griddle arrived with a weld completely missing on the back left corner. I had a tsunami of grease and gunk flowing on to my patio as a result. Easy fix with a little welding, I didn't want to go through the hassle of a return. Other than that snafu, I love the griddle. ... show more

I bought this for my mom for Christmas- thankfully Amazon had it in stock since it was sold out everywhere in November! It's the perfect size to store on our small townhouse balcony, my mom bought a cover that protects it from the weather, and she's been very excited to try a variety of recipes so far. Short story: buy this griddle before it sells out. Long version, read below: This griddle has been absolutely phenomenal! From breakfast to fast break it has been awesome to cook on. I seasoned it properly and off we went. Dont get paralysis by analysis, if you’re looking for a griddle, get this set up. Even for two people, it’s great. It’s better to have too much and not need it than to not have it and need it. The hood and table are perfect and I think take this one over the top. Don’t worry yourself about seasoning and get tied up with the griddle masters dissecting every inch of the process. Turn it on high, coat everything with oil til it burns off, and do it again until you’re out of beer or you’re ready to cook. ... show more

I own a 17" and a 36". I purchased this 22" as an upgrade to the 17" for camping. When I received this 22", the box looked like it had been sitting in the rain for days. Upon removing the griddle from the box, the hood was scratched. No big deal since it will ultimately get scratched anyway. The legs are installed using nuts on the inside of the burner assembly. One of the four legs was missing a nut. No big deal, I found one that fits. The most important issue is a hole in the griddle on one of the corners where it wasn't welded correctly. I have attached a picture. This is a huge deal as fluids will drip out of this hole. Especially water when cleaning the griddle after use. I think Blackstone needs to rethink how they do Quality Assurance because right now, it's not working for them or their customers. ... show more
