Perfect seat post for my GT Performer Heritage. Only thing you may not notice is that the post comes with the black oops logo on it. It will come off with some goo gone though. Overall happy.

This is a sturdy pipe. I had to hammer it in, but it took the beating. It IS very durable. I think the users who complain it's not strong enough must be misusing it. Period -- no reason to explain further. Because it fit so tight, I'd recommend a coating of oil on the pipe before you start banging it into place Because of the length, I had to bury it half way into the tube. I'm over 6 feet and over 200# and the last thing I need is a flimsy seat. I would have to be over 7 feet to use the full length of this tube on a standard 26 inch tire bike. My only reason for taking off one star is the fact that once it is seated in the tube, it will be very difficult to retrieve it. I've all ready ordered another one for my other bike. I would also think that if you are under 5 Ft 10 inches, this pipe isn't for you unless the bike you are fitting it to is a child's size. ... show more

I got this for my hard steel reserve dirt jumper because I wanted a seat I could actually sit on; the one it came with was so low it was unusable at my 6'2 size. With this I was able to raise my seat and move it back towards the back tires to place the seat where I would naturally expect it to be for a BMX type bike; while still being low and out of the way for jumping. Plus it looks great. I rode BMX bikes in the 80s as a child and ultimately wanted something that could fit me as an adult but would provide the same ride as my old mongoose CA GT.
