The repair kit is made for fixing tears, burn holes, scratches, and faded leather, and it definitely does the job. Not only did it bring my leather couch back to life, but it also saved me from having to buy new furniture. My family has had this black leather couch for as long as I can remember, and over the years. We’ve got scratches from all kinds accidents, and some spots where the leather has started to fade. I was starting to think we might need to throw it out or at least spend a lot of money on getting it fixed. The idea of a repair kit that could fix scratches, tears, and faded leather all in one was super appealing. The kit comes with a liquid formula that you use to repair the leather. The instructions said it could be used on car seats, sofas, or any leather or vinyl item, which made me think it would be a good investment for other things in the house, too. I squeezed a little bit of the liquid formula onto the scratched-up area of the couch. The formula is really easy to apply. You just spread it over the damaged spots with a sponge or cloth, and it fills in the scratches and tears. I was surprised at how well the liquid filled them in. I couldn't even see where the holes had been after it dried! The scratches that had been super noticeable were now completely gone, and the areas that had faded were restored to their original black color. What I loved most was how easy it was to use. The leather definitely doesn’t require the use of alcohol but using simple soap and water protects the leather quality.
