For the price, this is a great ring option. The stone is clear, colorful, and well-cut. The color is not as deep as a premium rainbow topaz stone and is excellent for under $20. I highly recommend a drop of super glue at the posts to secure the stone to be safe.

The media could not be loaded. So this is a very different type of ring. Right hand, anniversary, or otherwise; that I've ever worn. And I am not big on the black gold plated trend as of late either... but I do love Tourmaline mineral stones and what they represent as a whole. And I was still quite taken with how these stones shine and sparkle. Even though it's dark, it sparkles and shines quite beautifully. In or out of natural or artificial light. The 3 stars is cause obviously this is a cheap ring in cost, and I was going to give the benefit of the doubt in craftsmanship, until after taking it out of the package. I was able to actually snap the center stone into place to fit more securely. I wasn't even aware it was not secured until I touched the stone. It feels secure now, but we'll see just how well this holds up with the stones staying put and for how long. On tarnishing as well.. Though I did put clear polish on the inside of the ring and the outside bottom of it as well, just to be proactive with that.. Also, the ring does not fit true to size. I ordered a 6. It runs large. It fits more like a 7 on my ring finger. So I put a clear flex ring guard on the bottom. I like the ring well enough, but this is just mainly 95% due to the tourmaline stones.. ... show more

I love this ring. You can live in it and not worry about its wear, and maybe even keep a backup, or you can extend the life by just being mindful and following the seller’s care recommendations. Having owned a few pieces of rhodium coated black metal items over the years, I knew what to expect. My oldest ring is ten years old, and it was abused a bit (not wiping off oils/dirt from hands, sweating a lot in it). The oldest one is faded in those spots, but other pieces just as old, that don’t touch skin or get bumped around excessively (brooches) are just as black as on the day I bought them. I’ve had this ring for a couple of months, and it has not turned my finger green. Rhodium rings tend to do so once the coating has been worn off. Size-wise, I prefer chunky rings, so I like the large size of the center stone. Since the colors are more subtle in many lighting situations I think the size of the stone does well to showcase the slight color variations (the smaller stones on each side show how otherwise the ring may not be as eye-catching albeit still nice). The band is thick; that may be annoying if you’re unused to it (I don’t mind). The stones and setting make the ring a little tall (can’t really help that— it looks good in proportion to the stone sizes). If you’re into knowing this sort of thing, I tend to get a lot of comments/compliments on this ring. “Unique,” “sick,” “dope,” “beautiful,” etc. :) The ring also came with a nice box.
