This tool is sturdy and high quality enough to get the job done. It has an added grip along the ring to allow friction to grab the lock. Overall great value for money.

If you have a pin lock where the window sits that you push in and can pull up literally the next best item only thing that would make it perfect is instead of a white piece of plastic a rubber piece and something where the ball is at to prevent you from dropping it into a vehicle if you’re using it for that but it’s cheap and gets the job done ... show more

    • Works well, the two wire design gives you a lot of control
This unlocking tool works well. The loop at the end is made from two long wires which travel up the steel tube to the round button at the end. By manipulating each wire individually, you have a lot of control over what direction the grabber loop moves. I've used similar tools made of thin nylon straps. Those offer less control than this design, but are easier to manipulate through thin gaps or ridges that may not allow a stiff tool like this to pass through. You will almost certainly need an air wedge pump or plastic/wood wedge to get this tool properly placed to work. The only negative note I have with this tool is that it was in the storage bag long enough that the steel tube developed a permanent bend. I was able to mostly correct it, but it's definitely not straight. It still works perfectly, but I wish the storage bag didn't bend the tool. ... show more

I actually locked my keys in my truck and tried using this latch release. It was too short and the loop on the end kept getting bent and lost its shape. I finally had to use another type of tool that got the door open.
