Used this unit as soon as it arrived on a couple of "puppy stains" on stairway carpet. The biggest selling point to me about this unit is that it is super easy to assemble, disassemble, clean, and reassemble. As other reviewers have said, it has woefully short battery time, but as it is a spot cleaner, it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to clean up a single spot. Anything that takes more than 15-20 minutes probably requires a larger cleaner and not a unit like this. Also, it doesn't have the best suction power, but again, it is a small handheld cordless unit. I've found that the best suction is achieved when you tilt it *forward* on the carpet to get a good seal for the vacuum nozzle, which is actually on the front lip of the unit rather than underneath or behind the brushes like a traditional vacuum; if you experiment with it you will find that it does suck up the liquid even on medium-pile carpets. The included OXY formula is ok - it worked well on the spot itself - but can get a little too "sudsy" if you spray too much of it. I would suggest pre-treating the spot with something like Nature's Miracle, and then just filling the reservoir with a bit of hot water plus a splash of the OXY formula. That's what's given me the best results, anyway. Overall: worth the price and convenience of being small and rechargeable for spot cleaning. Again, if you want actual *carpet* cleaning you're better off getting a stand-up carpet washer for larger areas. ... show more

If you care about your sanity in the slightest do not buy this machine. Do not buy. The price is not worth it at all for a product that can barely perform the job it is intended to. It CAN clean stains, it will just take you about 10-15 min and an entire charge (at which point you will need to stop and wait a few hours for it to recharge) as well as a TON of physical exertion. To get any sort of meaningful cleaning from it you have to use an inordinate amount of arm strength to force it into the carpet/surface you are cleaning and to actually get some suction. After cleaning even a single spot you will be gassed and wondering why you didn't just get a sponge. Skip the gym, buy a Bissel Pet Stain eraser. The charge on it is laughable, after a couple minutes you can watch the battery level tick down and then resign yourself to waiting a few hours to attempt to finish cleaning the stain you started on. The bottles of cleaner fluid you receive WILL ONLY LAST YOU A SINGLE RUN EACH. I was able to clean one approx. 6 inch long and 2.5 inch wide stain and one 2.5x2.5 inch stain with one bottle, before the cleaner died and ran out of solution. Whoever came up with the promotional video for this product has a sick sense of humor, because cleaning a single stain requires you to go over it AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN while the Bissel sucks up a miniscule amount of liquid each time. This product is so finnicky that it can barely handle cleaning a single stain without needing to be taken apart and each component cleaned. Forget any heavy duty stains, anything more than a little bit of liquid will be almost impossible to get out and will require at least two sessions with this product. Every time my dog has an accident or my wife spills her drink, I die a little inside because I know that I will now have to use this soul-crushing piece of equipment. ... show more
