This seller provided excellent, fast international service, with the parcel arriving fully two weeks before expected. Birkenstock are always good, though this is a new style for me and so the fit was unknown. I am actually between sizes in Birkenstock, taking at 39 in sandals and 38 in clogs, so I am always hesitant about the correct size when unable to try first, and because of my location it is not feasible to return. This 39 fitted exactly as previous Birkenstock. The double adjustable straps are very useful, especially as the fixed toe strap is quite large. They are very comfortable out of the box, though the silver colour is a little harsher than I would like. My previous Gizeh sandals all split under the ball of the foot so I am curious to see if these have the same tendency. Regardless of the splitting, Birkenstock (but not Birkis or Papillo) are worth every cent. They are the only shoes that I can wear all day long. ... show more

Again Birkenstock are comfortable, for me right out of the box. Worn for the evening and I was mostly on my feet. I literally hear my feet sigh with comfort. The foot beds in Birkenstock are so supportive and I really love them. This style I was worried about, but being Birko Flor they do not rub and so sensitive toes do not get sore. The Birko Flor has some stretch and give, I actually prefer Birko Flor than the leather in sandals. I have found it more forgiving on bare feet. The other point that I would mention is that the strap high up and across the foot is the one doing all the work and the foot levers from there. So the action around the toes is minimal and less pulling etc. The two straps also make your foot feel secure and in place at all times. I think that the look is simple and therefore goes with a variety of outfits, jeans, leggings, dresses and skirts. Just really nothing that they wouldn't work with. As for this color also wonderful and being Birko Flor has a little sheen to it and therefore makes it more dressy. As always SIZE DOWN for Birkenstock a whole size. I am a large 38 European and 7.5 sometimes 8 American and I take a solid 37 in Birkenstock. The only exception is in the closed shoes and clogs then you take your normal size so for me 38. ... show more

You know that feeling you get when you try something on and know instantly that it's perfect? I got that with these sandals. When I finally decided to spring for a pair of Birks after months of agonizing over it, I got off to a rocky start. I bought and returned 2 other pairs before these beauties arrived to save the day. First, maybe it would help to know that I'm a female in my mid 30's, I wear a true size 8.5, have very high arches and feet perhaps slightly wider than average, at least in the toe box region. In fact - true confession - I had a bunion removed a few years ago from years of wearing shoes that were too narrow for my feet. Back to Birkenstock shopping. I wanted something super comfortable and casual, but also cute (for a Birkenstock), and in a color and style that would go with as many of my clothes as possible. The first pair I ordered were the classic Arizona style, iron oiled leather in a 38N. The fit was pretty good, but the color was way off from the picture. They were brown, not even close to grey. Not only that, but after trying them on started to feel like they were a little too chunky and masculine looking for what I wanted (at least on me), so I sent them back and ordered a pair of the Arizona sport style. I was hoping that the white buckles and accents would make them a little cuter and more feminine looking than just the classic Arizona. Indeed they were cuter, but the color choices in that style are so limited and I instantly knew that they were too bright and wouldn't go with as much clothes-wise, plus all those cute white accents drew far more attention to my feet than I wanted. Also, I started to think the M might be even more comfortable for my feet than the N size, especially in the heel. When I ordered this style in plain black and 38M I literally crossed my fingers when I clicked the purchase button. I am SO HAPPY now that I have these! They are the PERFECT fit (glad I went with the M over the N, though the difference is subtle)! I was worried that the piece in between the toes would chaff and rub but it doesn't at all. The strap width is just right, not too thick, not too thin. They are classy and cute and definitely more feminine and a little less unisex hippy than the Arizona style, plus they were cheaper! I really am in love with these sandals and know that we'll be happy together for a very long time. (Don't mind the shabby state of my toenails in these pics, it's the end of winter here and I haven't gotten a real pedi yet). UPDATE: Don't fret if the piece of sole that sticks up under the big toe feels a little bit "much" at first. People have commented that it is too high and feels uncomfortable. I never thought it was uncomfortable but I did certainly notice it at first. Within a few weeks I didn't notice it at all! They really do conform to your feet! ... show more

I’ve been wearing Birkenstock’s for years. They work really well for me especially because I had very bad foot and back problems from standing on my feet for hours for work. I stopped wearing them for a few years and started trying other brands but there is no comparison. These have the best support and are super cute! ... show more

Purchased these a little over a month ago. Haven't worn them that often, and mostly only worn indoors. Recently wearing outside, they started feeling weird. I looked down and one sandal was falling apart. I wrote to Birkenstock. It took several days for them to get back to me. All they said was, "It's past 30 days, No returns, No exchanges". With price of the product and it's supposed good reputation! After paying over $100 for a pair of sandals I only wore a couple weeks, I am Incredibly Dissatisfied!!! If they are not going to stand behind their products reputation, they should lower the price to equal the quality. ... show more

Excellent product - looks and feels very nice in the licorice color. The leather is supple and does not cut into my skin. Not too shiny but shiny enough to look attractive. My daughter says I bought the wrong size and advised me to go smaller however I used the size chart provided and they appear to fit my arch nicely. We are both size 6.5 in women's shoes and she wears a 35 where I purchased a 37. I'm not a connoisseur of this brand but feel comfortable keeping the 37s for myself. ... show more

My last pair of Birkenstocks lasted me 10 years! Bought some new ones to replace those that were well loved. These are great, cute style and feel just as good. Make sure to break them in before any long walks or trips! I wore them around the house for a few days and they were ready to go.
