I recently replaced the grips on my mountain bike with round "improved" grips and found them to not be an improvement at all when it came to relieving pressure on my hands when riding on long and level trails and roads. I purchased and placed these wider grips on my bike last night and within 5 mins found them to offer better hand support and relief from tingling. They are made of a rubber that grips well without being sticky. I plan to adjust the position of the grips over the next several rides and determine the best position for my style of riding. ... show more

I've been doing a lot of bicycle riding through rather hilly terrrain, and developed pain in the tendons of my palm, for which I've had to see an orthopedist. (In the US, orthopedists are cheaper than orthopaedists). These grips are amazing. They have a little shelf, on which you can rest the heel of your hand, taking pressure off the distal palm, and actually permitting resolution of trigger finger!!! Installation is quite easy, once you'ver wrestled off the old handles. They come complete with a hex wrench, which allows you to tighten the grips. You can also leave off the little end cap to install a side-mirror if so inclined. Best bike accessory I've ever bought! ... show more

Extremely comfortable. I bought two versions, one with the horns and one without them. Both are comfortable, but the ones with the horns have a wider palm rest and felt best for me, and the horns give another option for hand position. Either set makes long rides much more comfortable. Ultimately I settled on the ones with the horns, but a friend really liked the other set so I gave them to him. I think either design will offer relief from numb/tingling hands on long rides. Installed these but it wasn’t easy. Pros: they are comfortable when riding they take a lot of pressure off your wrists. Cons: they didn’t fit and I had to cut the ends of to make it work. No instructions to install.. the directions in the box show how to TAPE the handle bars on a road bike. ?? I wouldn’t buy these again. ... show more
