Working on turning my used road bike into a bike I can use for tri's. These aero bars were worth it. I had some issues installing because the metal inserts did not fit around the tape on my handle bar but without them the bars slid around to much. I ended up being able to fit one metal insert and then really forcing the fixed base to just jam on there and eventually muscle it together. I did have to use a heavy duty hex key to do this, not the one supplied as it didnt provide enough torque. The numbers were also printed slightly off, so if I tried to put them both at 4, one was much farther up than the other but that wasnt a big issue I just eyeballed it and ignored the numbers which worked out fine. They aren’t smooth like profile designs so they can scratch your handle bars specially if they are made of carbon like mine and the pads are very thin but work , not bad for the price half of what profiles cost . I give it 4 stars for that otherwise i would give them 5 , I will put tape instead of the foam pads for the hands just because they will look nicer on my part. I’ll post when i get more use out of them 8/31/2022 Working good so far had spare elbow pads work and feel better also added bicycle, tape just to make them look sharper ... show more

The bars work as they are intended for a decent price. It does not come with great installation instructions, however there is a video which shows how it should be done which is very easy. Like others mine did not come with all the necessary screws/pieces, I made do with others. I am trying this out for the first time and didn't want to drop over $150.00 for other aero bars and install. Rode 24 miles with these today with no issues. ... show more

    • Not all handle bars fit.
Unfortunately, this type of handle bars are not compatible with certain road bikes. They should be more forth coming with precise information on what bikes these handlebars would fit properly. Also, the fabric was very thin and cheap and really need to stay on the bar correctly to support my elbow the whole setup wasn't Mickey mouse style. Very disappointed in this product for the value that the seller was selling it for. I did not meet good quality a good standards for my style bike. ... show more

    • Great entry level bars, but pads are sub par
I've tried a bunch of different aero bars. This bend style is definitely the most comfortable. Bracketry and hardware supplied with the kit made for an easy install. The elbow pads supplied are not good, you'll like have to purchase some better pads to make this work. While the pad quality is low (fit, material, and cushion are all mediocre), the deal breaker is that the Velcro will not keep the pads adhered. Despite the pads, I am happy with my purchase and feel like this represents a good value! ... show more

Very impressed with the quality of the hardware on these aerobars. It is nice to be able to mount them individually so I could space them out how I wanted them. The only downside is that the armrest pads are very thin and not wide enough. I have used them for 2 months (1000 miles) including a week ride on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route and no slippage or adjustments needed. Everything came exactly as pictured so that was nice. The bolts seem good quality, and while the machining is, well, what you’d expect, it does secure to the bars very good. Would I have liked to buy some profile designs bars? Yes. But, for the price, these will get the job done I am sure. So far no regrets buying them. I will note I do own a bike with high end aero bars so I do have something to compare them to. Will update after I use these on a 4 day trip next week. ... show more
