  • Safety addition.
These extensions are heavy duty. Well-made and useful. A bit on the heavy side. I would recommend putting your ladder up and installing the extensions once the ladder is up, not installing the extensions and trying to lift the ladder up to the roof. Much to top heavy even for two installers. I would highly recommend these extensions for safety purposes. ... show more

  • Check to make sure you got the right pieces
I know other guys who love theirs, but I received two Left side stabilizers. Like a dingus I didn't notice until two or three months later and just thought they were a little janky. Double check your order to make sure you get a Right and Left piece. These can also make your ladder very top heavy and if you are working solo can become a hazard when setting the ladder up. Great idea, very stable when installed correctly, can be very top-heavy. ... show more

  • I like it
Easy to assemble. (Does make the ladder top heavy). Great for the “first step down”… Only issue I had was one of the machined parts intended as a connecting rod to the safety arm had a misaligned hole. I drilled it out instead of requesting a new part. The product is safe and works well. If you don’t like heights you’ll really like this product. I am a rugged guy but I hate heights. I’m using it at about 11’ off the ground. Folks that accustomed to ladders and height prolly would find this product not useful. ... show more

  • Not Perfect, but it works.
I needed stability for working on the third floor of a Victorian home with the ladder staged on the front porch roof if that makes sense. The product came in a heavy duty box so that it's unlikely it could be damaged during shipping. The directions were clear and easy to understand. Once assembled it worked very well. Quality seems to be good. Here's some areas that need improvement. There's two metal connector tubes that are used to join the handles that you would use as you transition to the roof after climbing the ladder. Basically there are only 6 pieces (not including the fasteners -- only 4) to assemble. The directions don't include a description of the tools you will need. You will need a 10mm wrench (socket would work but wrench better), 5mm Allen Wrench, and possibly a drill and a step bit. A hammer will be needed as well because the parts are a very tight fit and some light tapping will probably be nessasary. Regarding the Allen Wrench it's most definately Metric. Some oil or other type of lubricant would be advised as the connector tubes are a very tight fit. The connector tubes are inserted into the hand rails and then connected to the 2 peices that fit onto the ladder. The problem I had was that 2 of the holes did not align so that I could use the supplied parts to connect them. I had to drill the hole to a larger diameter which wasn't a huge problem, however, for $349 it should have put itself together. This setup is way overpriced, but I've found nothing else that works as well so I had to spend the money. Additionally, the assembly is fairly light for it's size, however be aware that it will add significant weight so as to make it awkward when trying to place the ladder once it's extended. I'm a fairly large strong male individual and the extra weight was easily evident as I carried the ladder while extended so that I could place it the top of the roof. It makes carrying the ladder while extended very awkward becaus it adds weight to the front side of the ladder which is hard to compensate for. I don't view that as a design flaw because there would be no other way to make it work. I'm happy with the outcome in spite of the price because it really makes it safer, and much easier to transition to the roof from the ladder. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • The worst $300 I’ve ever spent.
Let’s just say I expected more from a piece of safety equipment. Bolt holes were mis drilled. Every high vis decal and grip tape looks like a 2yr old put them on. The nuts for the thumb screws that hold this to the latter are just pressed it. Loose enough that 1 of them fell out in shipping. So if you fold this up on your latter for transport like they say in the instructions the thump screw and nut can just fall out going down the road and they are the only thing holding these on the latter. A couple tack welds would’ve been a better way to go. So far this has been the biggest disappointment for me on Amazon. ... show more

  • Makes Cleaning Gutters a Breeze
Really helpful for all situations where I have to climb up to the roof. I feel a lot more confident being up there now weather it's inspecting the roof, fixing flashing, or just cleaning gutters. I had a minor issue with the assembly and the owner himself reached out to help me through it, and it took me all 2 minutes to fix. Great product, great support. ... show more

  • Needs improvements!
I returned my second one. the first one looked like it was returned and then sent back out. The grit tape was pealing off the safety bars. The second one had the same tape issue but not as bad. One of the bolts that apply pressure on the ladder itself popped right out. The pins that hold the roof feet make the device way too wobbly. The weight of adding this on the ladder makes it almost impossible to handle the ladder when solo. It's way too heavy. Recommend a durable but lighter material. Find a way to dampen the wobbliness. ... show more

  • Good safety device
This helps me get on the roof to do my semi annual inspections. I climbed ladders as part of my career. Never gave it a thought. My knees/hips are getting bad. It is concerning to step around the top of the ladder onto and off the roof. This takes that concern away. Assembly, install and adjustment are easy. During manufacture they should add a step to ream the holes for the fasteners. I had to run a drill bit thru them to remove paint/burrs. ... show more
