I've been using this toolbox to store my bike tools for a little over a year and although the box's integrity hasn't suffered, the paint itself is chipping away and the spots where the paint broke off, there is visible rust. I was able to use touch up paint to cover the corroded parts but would have expected more durable paint from a well known brand like Big Red. ... show more

So when I got this, I thought that it seemed a little weak. The steel its made from seems thin, and when the lid is open I had concerns it would possibly break or bend. That being said, I haven't had any issues with it since I've been using it. I bought it specifically to store all of my drills bits and accessories in. Despite my misgivings, it hasn't actually bent or broken yet. When the lid is closed it seems a lot more sturdy. I think perhaps if the lid was open and you dropped it that it could bend, but I'm not going to test the theory. Given the price for this item though I'm pretty happy with it. It doesn't have a huge footprint and it looks nice. I think I would buy another one if I had need of another small toolbox. I'd much rather have a metal one like this than a cheapo plastic one. ... show more
