This is one of the better experiences I've had as of late in the realm of table games. The primary flaw is the timer, as it really should go for 45 seconds, or even a minute; 30 seconds is simply too short, especially for non-movie-obsessed players. I also don't love the randomized card placement. Things function much better if you simply draw 3 cards, and are then able to place them in a given category as you see fit. Otherwise, this is a really solid experience. One of the most wonderful surprises of this game is the way comebacks happen so often. It can sometimes feel like the other team is running away with things. But, since you need a card from each film genre (and the other team tends to have a weakness), the games tend to end up being much closer than they initially seem. Also, the categories of 'one word', 'quote it', and 'act it' make for some genuinely interesting interactions. Then there's the presentation of the box and board, which nail the Blockbuster visuals, while also feeling completely unique among a game collection. The rules can seem a bit much at first, when the game is actually pretty simple. And I'm not in love with how the list price has shot up to $22 in recent weeks. But this is still a game every household should own. So long as you're prepared to make a few changes to the given ruleset, this is amazing. ... show more

My daughter told me about this game. We played it when I spent the weekend recently at her’s and her fiancé’s house. Then my son came over. It’s hysterical!! We had sooooo much fun!! This game is an absolute blast! Fun to play and fun for everyone. The bad thing is that both boxes I bought came broken. One won't close anymore. Not sure if it was poor handling from DHL (which by the way it arrived late) or if it's just poor handling whatsoever. I sure hope the box doesn't break any further. Too bad that I have to give a 3 star rating to this game because of this. ... show more
