We have another version of this (different back and sides) and love it. We had no issues with that one. This one however smelled awful when we opened it. I compared it to a dead animal. We had to take it outside immediately. I sprayed it down with some carpet spray we had for pet urine to try to eliminate the smell. (Though don't make the same mistake I did and wear gloves! Skin irritation is not fun!) After a few hours of that and being outside, it was more tolerable. It's been a few weeks now and I no longer notice the smell, so that's good. It's a nice comfy spot in my daughter's room to sit and read. The kids like to play with it, mostly jump and climb on it. They haven't gotten too into building with them to my chagrin, though we've tried a few things. Other than the smell, I definitely recommend these couches. ... show more

This couch has been SO much fun for my 2 and 4 year old. There was definitely a smell when it arrived, but we kept windows open and the smell was gone within a week. The zippers and fabric seem to be very high quality. My only complaint is that the two main cushions are made to be a different level of thickness which manors building forts more difficult. Entire house smelled like fish upon opening it. My son was so excited but he couldn’t even sit on it bc he started gagging lol! We washed covers- but the source was the foam inside- let them air out for about 2 weeks in the basement and now it is finally okay. This is truly the best thing I have gotten for my kids. Ages 2-8 all LOVE this couch. I will admit that it does smell absolutely horrible when you first open the package. I ended up washing the covers and using a probiotic spray on the foam before reinserting them into the clean covers. The smell did go away after this, but be warned! However, that aside, the covers wash well, the zippers hold everything well, there are many pieces and so many ways to configure them. While the produce was as expected, it did have a horrendous chemical smell. I had to wash the covers before we could use it and even when the covers were off the foam inside still smelt like chemicals. Had to let it air out for a day and wash the covers very well before we could use it.

This couch is great! So many optional parts. I love that it has two bottom sections since my kid is just learning to crawl. So if he does tumble off it’s very close to the floor and he won’t hurt himself. It’s nice that it’ll grow with him and we can use it for forts or other climbing activities

As other reviews have stated, I was wary of purchasing this couch with few reviews, but gave it a go. We have had it for a few weeks now and use it almost daily! This couch is great! We have a smaller space and smaller kids (age 2 and 4). The cushions are perfect size for them and we like all the different shapes included for building lots of creations! Upon arrival it did have an odor but only for a day or so. All of the cushions inflated within 48 hours or less. I haven't needed to clean it yet but I imagine the microfiber will clean up easily. I wish there were more colors offered! I would purchase another in a new color if they come out with more. This couch is a great alternative to the popular Nugget. It saves some money, space, and offers even more with the extra shaped cushions. I recommend this play couch! ... show more

UPDATE: This seller did a top notch job and sent me a new couch! Quick to respond and resolve the issue. Ok. I’d like to say that I rarely write reviews let alone negative reviews. But I have been disappointed with this couch since I opened the package. It has a pretty nasty smell. But I thought no big deal. I’ll just throw her in the wash. I washed it on cold and hung to dry overnight. next morning, I went to put the covers back on the cushions, and it is like wrestling an alligator to get it to line up and zip shot. Not to mention the smell is definitely still lingering. When I open the package some of the cushions were dirty . I went to contact the seller, but Amazon just put you in this giant run around and you actually can’t get a hold of anybody. If I could, I would return this, but I have no idea how I would ship it back. ... show more
