These are perfect for diamond art pictures! There is no gap between the mat and the dots, nor are there dots covered by the mat. Everything slid into place perfectly. There is plastic on both sides of the “glass”. I removed one side but didn’t even see the plastic on the front of the picture. I ended up tearing them apart and putting everything back together as intended. Either way is fine, honestly. Removing the thin sheet of plastic does allow for the glitter of the picture, otherwise it’s more like a regular print look. The frame itself is super light and wooden. All nice and square with tight corners. No hangers are attached, but it did come with hangers for each frame. ... show more

The frames look nice and the materials aren't the cheaply assembled garbage you might expect to find. They were shipped with care and individual protective padding around each. The frames themselves feel sturdy and solid, while not overly heavy. I recently began doing diamond paintings at the beginning of the year. I was looking for some frames. This one looked perfect for one of the paintings I was doing. HOW THIS COMES This comes in a box with a lot of cushioning and protection. GLASS This has plexiglass in it instead of glass. The thing is that both sides of mine had a plastic cover on them that has to be peeled off. The one side has markings, but the other does not. At first I thought the glass was scratched but it ended up being the plastic covering. Once peeled off, it was in great shape. MAT The mat is a nice thought but all of the diamond paintings that I have that would fit in this do not get the sides covered enough with this mat. I have to get another one cut. Since I have a mat cutting set, that is not a big deal for me, but for some people it will cost quite a bit to have one made. QUALITY The quality of this frame is better than I expected. It has a great gold design on the frame. The back is easy to get in and out of and holds the picture in place well allowing enough space for mat and painting. DIRECTIONS This can be hung in portrait or landscape directions. THE BOTTOM LINE This frame is a nice frame for diamond paintings especially if they have some gold in them. The glass has to have both sides peeled to reveal the plexiglass surface. Also the mat is a bit small so plan on having a new one made. MY RATING FIVE STARS. The frame itself is cute. I don't know anything about framing diamond paintings or what they require (seems like they would be bumpy?), but I had planned to use it for a watercolor, which requires a glass for protection. The frame included a thin mat that was near 14", so I had some room on the side, but it just barely fit vertically. I am not positive, but I had probably trimmed my painting to fit into an 11x14 frame, so I didn't have any wiggle room vertically. Still, I was pleased that it worked without having to go buy a custom mat! On the down side, the "glass" is a piece of plexiglass. That in itself is not a major problem for me. I can forgive a piece of clear plastic that I don't have to go out of my way to break. ;-) However, the issue with plexiglass is that it is easily scratched. It came with a protective film over it. On one side. :-| It was extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY, scratched up. I had not opened the frame, so, either the plastic was put inside with the protective film facing backward, or it was damaged before they put it in the frame. I'm sure of this because I just had to bend the little metal tabs to remove the backing, and they were in there really well and not bent. I see that Wally has a cheap frame in this size that I might can buy just for the glass if I decide to go that route. However, it does look like either a quality issue or that someone put the thing in backward or restocked a used piece or something. I have no idea what happened, but, for the price, I would expect more. You can buy a gold frame of this size in wood for a third of the price. You can buy a high quality open-back frame for traditional art for less than this. This is not a custom framing job. So, it's a bit disappointing that they would ask this price and then cut corners on quality. ... show more

The Betionol Diamond Painting Frames, Natural Wood Color Wood Picture Frame Fit For 16x20/12x16/12x12 is a very attractive wooden frame that will fit large posters or thin puzzles. The wood of the frame is beautifully finished, very smooth, and they have even made the grain of the wood seem to flow around the frame. The clear dust cover is a thin and flexible acrylic that happily won't break if your picture should fall off the wall. It will also accommodate a thin puzzle where as a more rigid piece of glass will not. The back is held on with movable metal tabs that swing to the side and make it easy to put your picture in or out of the frame. There are three white mattes with different size openings to choose from to finish off the look. The whole setup is lightweight so it won't put a strain on your wall.
