Looks great. Not an easy install on my ‘86 CJ7. After several attempts following the enclosed instructions, which must be very similar to trying to herd cats, I decided on a different method. I ended up taping the foam padding to the roll bar with duct tape then zipping the cover on. It was still difficult, especially trying to get the zippers started on 45 degree support bar. Total time from start to finish...about 1 1/2 hours. Add several minutes of head scratching in there as well. See the before and after photos, you be the judge. I recently installed this rollbar cover on my wife's '81 CJ5. As I've found with all Bestop products, the quality is fantastic. The only reason I don't rate it 5 stars is the foam is a lower quality density as compared to factory. Additionally, the product does not come "ready to install". You need to lay out the cover on a clean surface and apply the foam in their appropriate sections. Doesn't sound like a big deal but the foam pieces seemed way too large and overlapped the adjoining pieces by a large margin, and were extremely difficult to zip up when installing on the roll bar. I ended up cutting the pieces down, and it went together fine. The instructions need to be revised so that the installer isn't left guessing. Overall it's still a great product and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to restore or add rollbar padding to their Jeep. ... show more

A little tricky to get the cover over the padding I Installed padding over bars first and held it together with duct tape then installed cover that worked better than the instructions version. I would have given 5 stars but It's a little weak around the stitching tore a small hole in it while pulling it together to zip up but looks good after installed. ... show more

It's a nice cover, but installation is a pain. Like others have said. I attached the padding to the roll bar first then zipped the cover on last. Now if I could just find some NOS Saddlebags!

This went onto my CJ7 like butter! Looks great and solid product to freshen up the faded loo of original cover. I did find it easier to secure the foam to the roll bar first, and then seat the cover over the top. Not sure how you could get a smooth look otherwise.

As usual, Bestop quality is great. I installed this on a 1980 CJ7 and it looks and fits perfectly. Note that the instructions call for you to tape the foam inserts into the cloth before install. I found it MUCH easier to simply zip-tie the foam to the bars first then zip the cloth on.
