These things are shiny! Solid mugs with a major pop of color. I was surprised at how weighty they were given the design. Sometimes mugs with such a small base and wider mouth feel wobbly, but these stay put on the table. They are a smooth ceramic in a sports car gloss black. The interior is a slick, bright red that really adds an accent to my table setting. The only callout would be that some drinkers might not care for the angle of the handle. If you are used to the normal wide grip of a typical coffee mug, you might not be able to get all your fingers inside these. You can still get a solid grip, but I know how some people love holding their mugs with both hands like they're at a ski lodge. These mugs have a slight form over function design, but they still work. And they look really modern and bold while doing it. ... show more

Love the size, the quality and looks better in person! heavy, wide mouth. My only complaint is also what I like about how they look - the lip is curved. As a mug, you sip anyway and it isn't that noticeable.
