Great Guitar for the Price Have played guitar for 30 years and own several. I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter because she always gravitates towards my guitars when she is over and I hope she would like to play one day. Had bought another brand but it was damaged in shipping and I needed another fast. Ordered this. Packaged well and no damage with shipping. Opened the box and was surprised by how nice this instrument was for the price. Tuned it up and played and was really impressed. Nice and bright with good resonance. No buzz, chords well up the neck, neck straight, action good, tuners hold, bridge solid, no blemished in finish anywhere. I can't believe the price for this thing. Was expecting a cheap toy at this price point and received an actual guitar. Only thing I would say negative is the neck is a little bit larger than I am used to, but not like classical fat. If you are looking for a starter guitar or one you can travel with without worrying about someone crushing your Martin, look no further. ... show more

I'm a 53 year old beginner guitar player and struggled with what to buy. Should I spend a ton of money on a hobby that may not take root? Or, do I buy a cheap instrument that may defeat learning because it just doesn't perform? I chose to go cheap...and I am so glad! This guitar is a really well made standard model for anyone. Nothing fancy...but still plays well. I went over it with a fine tooth comb- no it's likely not perfect for the 30 year pro....but it IS perfect for me. I am really happy with the overall quality- it feels and looks well made and came with everything I need to begin. It's sounds good and holds tune very well. I am happy when I practice with it and it is a good starter guitar that I will keep long after I graduate to a Rockstar model : ) ... show more

I am just beginning to learn guitar and after reading some of the reviews on here I must admit I was leery to purchase because I saw several people complaining about "high action" it is true this guitar has somewhat high action but it's not terrible at all. For a beginner you won't even need to worry about the high action until WAY later on because all of your playing will be towards then end of the neck where it is quite comfortable. HOWEVER after doing some Q&A online I have found that this is not a cheap guitar thing or an expensive guitar thing, any new guitar can have high action which is why almost every guitarist that I have found online recommends to take in any new guitar to a music store and get your guitar "set up". This is when a technician will smooth everything out for you so that your guitar plays like butter. I am not sure why anyone in their right mind would tell you to not buy this guitar for that specific reason, it's kind of ridiculous considering it's an easy fix and it doesn't cost that much to change the action. You can also change the action yourself, they do provide you with a tool for the neck but I highly advise against this unless you know what you are doing because you can really mess up your guitar if you don't. All in all this is a beautiful and great guitar especially for the price and I haven't found one thing I don't like about it. I highly recommend this guitar and would definitely buy again. Honestly I was just going to use this guitar to learn guitar then when I became good at playing I was going to upgrade, but I love this guitar so much I am going to keep it and just upgrade it when I get better. I plan on taking good care of it and it would be nice to still have and play on 30 years from now. A definite bargain! ... show more

My dtr just turned 11 and wanted a guitar for her birthday. I didn't want to invest a lot in one because I didn't know how long she would stick with it. The reviews were good, so I decided to try it out. Very happy with the guitar itself. She has started lessons and her teacher says it is a great starter guitar. It stays tuned and has a nice tone to it. My only complaint is with the cover. The zipper came off in the 2nd week of owning it so it is of no use. Now she has to buy another case to protect her guitar. Edit: my dtr is now 15 and still using this guitar with weekly lessons. It has been a great purchase. She is now looking to upgrade to an electric acoustic and her younger sister who is now 12 may be taking this one. I definitely recommend. ... show more

The is an amazing guitar. I tuned it on arrival using an android app. It has a delightful sound. I absolute love it and the price is difficult to beat. It is actually better looking than I expected and seems to be made of good, quality material. It's sturdy and I believe it will hold up very a very long time. Definitely, a great purchase. This guitar is a great acoustic guitar for beginners. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the strings if you plan on doing anything serious. They do not hold a tune very long. Also, the strap is incredibly small.
