    • Perfect for oily, acne-prone skin!
I've always shied away from moisturizers because every single one I try makes me break out in cystic acne and blackheads. During lockdown, I decided I'd try to improve my skin since I wasn't really going out in public. I tried a highly-rated, non-comedogenic moisturizer, and bam-- cystic acne everywhere. Then I had an idea. I sometimes get sunburn on my nose and forehead and apply aloe vera gel to soothe it. It never has broken me out, so I was wondering if aloe vera could be used as a moisturizer. I learned that it wasn't really effective for that purpose, so I thought that maybe I could find one that uses aloe as its primary ingredient. Lo and behold, I found this. I've never heard of this company and there weren't too many reviews, so I was a bit nervous to try it, especially because my skin was in terrible shape. But it wasn't too expensive, so I figured, why not? I've only been using it for a week, so I'll update this if things change, but right now, I'm over the moon! It's definitely not something to use alone if your skin is dry, but it's perfect for my oily-yet-dehydrated skin. My texture is improving, my acne is healing, and I have a nice glow all day. It hasn't clogged my pores one bit. If everything else breaks you out, definitely give this a try! You really need to read the directions, though, to pat it into your face. If you just slather it on like a lotion, it leaves a sticky residue and doesn't really sink in. I haven't tried wearing it under makeup yet, so I hope it's okay in that regard. I noticed that it actually gives a minor pore-blurring effect, so I'm hoping it'll let me skip primer. ... show more

skin type: normal/oily combo Lemme tell you, this stuff seriously reduced the OILINESS of my skin. like my skin was reallly oily like you can fry an egg on my face oily before using this product However this did dry out a little on my normal areas of my face, so i wouldn’t suggest this to those who have dry skin; you’ll need something more moisturizing. my skin is also sensitive and this gel was very gentle and soothing; also reduced redness as well! haven’t seen any huge differences in terms of acne marks but like that isn’t the main purpose of this product anyway sooooo highly recommend to all my oily skin friends out there ... show more

This gel works so well. I am 48 and my skin is so soft when I use this and it doesn't clog pores. The texture of my skin is smooth and soft. My teens also love this and they breakout from most products. I had to buy them each their own bottle. This is safe for their fungal acne which a lot of products are not and exacerbate. ... show more

I'm 19 years old and I have oily-combination skin. For a few years now, I haven't had any breakouts. I thought maybe because my teenage hormonal phase is coming to an end, but to my surprise, last week on the first day I broke out all over my forehead (They might be cystic acne because they are red and are inside the skin) I woke up to 4-6 bumps on my forehead and was freaking out because I didn't know what the cause of it was. Recently I figured out the cause but I will not be sharing that. Anyway, for the past 2 years I've stopped getting breakouts because of the Benton Snail Bee Content Essence. It loves my skin and always takes care of it but last week has been an exception. I needed a miracle and I needed it quick. So I bought this because I already use two Benton products in my skin care (Steam cream and Essence, both amazing for oily-combination skin) and trust in this brand very much. It came very quickly after two days and I immediately dabbed it all over my face, not just spot treating my pimples but all over my face. I went to sleep and the next day most of the swelling has gone down, not all but most of the cystic acne started drying. When I gently press them they don't hurt anymore. And almost all of them did not make it out on the surface of my skin because it really put a stop to them. This product really does work for emergencies, it may be the Aloe vera or the propolis in it I don't really mind because I saw immediate results! it's been 5 days now and I only have 2 pimples left. Most of them are gone or are drying up. This is also a light moisturiser and would not recommend using it as one if you have dry skin. Use your usual moisturiser after this but if you have slightly oily skin like me, this will be perfect for you! And perfect for a breakout emergency! ... show more

I use this and the lotion on my face, it’s soothing and healing, my skin is smooth and clear. It also prevents sun damage from the day. I have used this product for over a year and will continue, it’s great.

    • Nice if you don't need a ton of moisture
A few reviews did warn me, but I didn't listen. My skin isn't so dry it's flaking, but it is a thirsty beast that drinks this stuff right up. I do love how soothing it is to put on, but even in the summer, I still need too use it with some other moisturizers. It's incredibly light, and I imagine it would do well for someone with oilier skin. I did offer it to my friend who had a reddened skin after an underarm wax experience gone wrong, and she found it gentle and soothing to put on, even if it was meant more for the face. ... show more
