  • Great EDC and travel sling
Color: Black
Great designed sling. High quality. Three seperate pockets are very useful. Pocket on backside can be used for passport or wallet. In middle pocket sections for sunglasses. Highly recommended.

  • Another great sling from Bellroy
Color: Rangergreen
I own so many Bellroy slings and I'm running out of reasons why each one is needed. I guess one could argue that you shouldn't need so many if they're designed right, but each one (to me) has a purpose. The original mini - I love the look. There isn't a ton of organization in there, unfortunately, but I love the look of it and the material. It's difficult to maneuver on your body because the compression makes it hard to comfortably open the bag when it's worn on your body, but again, I love the look. This one is purely for aesthetics. The Venture sling 6L has more organization and can fit a small water bottle. Great for when I take the kids to the park and need to carry their water bottle and a few snacks. I've even thrown 2 diapers and some wipes in here and they fit perfectly. The strap on this is wider than I would like and the bag itself is kind of heavy, relative to other Bellroy products. Still better than carrying a huge diaper bag to the park. The lite sling - has medium organization (not as much as Venture sling), but is lighter in weight and similar functionality. Enter the Venture Ready 2.5L. It fits exactly my day-to-day pocket dump, so no water bottle, but sometimes I don't need to carry a water bottle around, so love this so far. The ranger green color is really nice and, overall, I think the bag is WAY nicer in person than the pictures. Originally, I thought I'd buy this and check it out, but I bought it, opened it, and loved it. It fits my keys, hand sanitizer, chapstick, wallet, phone, tissues, sunglasses, and there's a tiny bit of room left for something else. So there you have it. I'm biased because I love Bellroy products. The material is nice and the functionality is high. They make so many bags for different activities and purposes, that I've found myself with many, many of their items, for better or for worse. ... show more

  • Great Travel Companion
Color: Bronze
Got the bag for a trip to Medellin and it worked like a charm. Had space for everything I needed, kindle, phone, wallet, charger, sunglasses, and still had some space left over for other things. If you're worried about the strap's magnetic closure, don't be. It works great for re-connecting and didn't come undone once. Zippers are great and the interior devisions were great for my sunglasses and phone then everything else. ... show more

  • Nice quality for the most part
Color: Nightsky
Beautiful sling bag. Would’ve kept it, but one of the zipper poles was missing. I found it in the Front zipper pocket. Not sure if I got a used item or what but decided not to re-order. Highly recommend Otherwise.

  • Precise Carrying Only
Color: Nightsky
This 2.5L sling is quite petite if you are used to Bellroy's larger sling offerings, so plan your EDC accordingly. If you have a prepared list of small & necessary items for the day/adventure, then this is suitable. I work in an environment where I intentionally designed my own toolkit and handy essentials for work specifically to fit in this sling and wear it while I am at work only. If you believe you need more than the essentials, choose their 4L slings or opt for even larger. If you are familiar with Bellroy's standard "city pouch", the amount of storable items you can fit in that bag will fit in this bag + the option of sunglasses in this sling if you have enough room. The styling is sleek and the adjustable strap can condense small enough to be worn around the waist, as well as long enough to sit near the hips in crossbody fashion. This is for people who need only the bare minimum of daily tech & other small-scale EDC. It works great with small & thin handheld tools. The quality and style is on-par with Bellroy's existing standard. ... show more

  • Great for travel
Color: Nightsky
I am not a bag guy and this is a perfect bag for me during travel. So many spots for important documents and keys and the like. I would look no further than this bag.

  • Wanted to love it... too cramped, too unaccommodating
Color: Bronze
Are you an ultra-minimalist that weighs and measures everything you EDC and you never find yourself putting anything into your bag that you don't intend to carry. Then this bag would work for you. Otherwise, it's just too cramped. I own the Bellroy Venture 6L Sling and I love it. The thought of a smaller version of that sling sounds good in theory - less spectacular in reality. There's nothing particularly "wrong" about the bag, just understand your intended use. If you have the Venture 6L and you always have a lot of empty space and you think that the Venture 2.5L would reduce that "wasted space" for you - you're going to be disappointed - you can't carry the same things in a different bag, you'll have to pare it down. ✔ Love the zippered pocket for secure items, facing in towards the body. Not thrilled that it runs on a regular zipper and it removes the back padding that was on the Venture 6L. I don't carry a thick wallet, I carry a thin minimalist wallet and IF you over-stuff the bag, you don't have the give of padding to reduce that bulge outward. ✔ Which comes to the problem of over-stuffing. You're going to overstuff this bag. The Venture 6L is a bigger bag, but it's also a broader bag. Carry the same items and in the Venture 6L it feels evenly distributed. In the Venture 2.5L, it sits like a condensed brick. Smaller footprint yes, but more mass consolidated in that footprint. ✔ With that newfound bulk, they added a thinner strap. Thankfully, Bellroy went with a 1.25" wide strap which isn't that much smaller than the 1.5" wide strap on the Venture 6L. Not nearly as bad as some slings with a weak 1" strap, but it still digs into my shoulder. So you'll have to learn to carry less. ✔ Speaking of which, I carry around 2-lbs of stuff, so with the bag about 2.5-lbs. Not much in the scope of things. Keys, wallet, oversized phone, earbuds, mini-multi-tool, glasses, keychain measuring tape, some thumb drives, tissues, chapstick... hardly excessive. Venture 6L may be bigger and weighs more in terms of grams, but it feels lighter when carried. The Venture 2.5L just feels like a dense brick. And I'm just barely getting everything in. If you're okay with your bag sitting on your chest as if it's at maxed capacity, great, you won't be bothered. I realize how much I value that "wasted space" in my Venture 6L. ✔ What makes the Venture 6L so awesome, is the organizational pockets inside the main body. The Venture 2.5L, has a padded sleeve for your phone, that bumps out into the main compartment further if you have any magsafe accessories attached. And you have a sunglasses soft spandex pouch, without a zipper. That's it. It's otherwise a dump pouch, but the space is so cramped, that you'll be layering things on top of each other. And the way the top zipper opens, unlike the Venture 6L which opens wide due to the gussesting on the sides, the Venture 2.5L's zippered opening feels constrained for an already cramped space. Dump-pouch areas are cool, if you have the zippered entrance that allows you to root through your contents easily. With a phone and sunglasses jutting into the main compartment, there isn't much space. And you're limited by height, so things like pens that you might have upright in the Venture 6L, you'll be burying in the Venture 2.5L ✔ The front pocket is meh, I like the exposed rain zipper on the Venture 2.5L, instead of the "crap collector" deep embedded zipper on the front of the Venture 6L. But the pocket of the 2.5L is obviously smaller - with no pouches, but rather an unstructured fabric divider that splits the front pocket in half. So basically a dump pouch for your flashlight/chapstick, earbuds, and then a space for your keys that barely holds my key ring - I carry a carabiner and with just 3 keys and a car fob, I can barely get it fit into the divided section of that front pocket. The cord for your keys is shorter than the Venture 6L, but has the same unhelpful crappy plastic key clip. ✔ The magnetic buckle is a nice feature and I wouldn't mind seeing it on the next version of the Venture 6L. Whereas the Venture 6L has two buckles from both ends, regardless of how you carry it, the buckle of the Venture 2.5L is on one-side. And if you understand how the buckle works, yes, it can be manipulated with one hand - whereas the buckles on the Venture 6L require two hands to manipulate. Will the magnetic buckle release under normal circumstances - probably not. It has a fairly solid hold, especially after you overstuff this bag (which you will do) and tension is applied to the buckle. Can someone easily figure out it just takes a squeeze of the buckle to unlatch it - sure - if you're worried about theft, you'll want to carry the bag in front. Overall, it's well built, it looks good, it just doesn't meet my intended use. It's too cramped to be comfortable. If the footprint of the bag is everything for you and you'll sacrifice what you carry to make space - then it's a perfectly okay bag. If you're a soloist who spreadsheets the weight of everything they carry and nothing more, it might work for you. If you're someone who gets roped into carrying someone else's phone in your bag or carrying a couple extra napkins or plastic utensils - then get the Bellroy Venture 6L, an excellent bag that is far more accommodating to life and the little things you absent-mindedly pick up and carry along. ... show more
