Lets be honest, no one is buying 5' of 2" copper for flashing. Not unless it is a small patch job. 2" isn't much for flashing work, but this came well packaged and could be used for some metal working and arts and crafts. It's really a niche product for most people.

It’s kinda an odd size for flashing, but I like having copper around. If it doesn’t get used for flashing I’ll make jewelry out of it. Came well packaged.

I like this piece of 2" by 5ft solid copper flashing. I absolutely love, but can't afford copper roofing for tip-outs or roof overhangs on an old house. Unfortunately copper roofing is expensive. However, it is almost always cheaper than anything else over the years in the long run, because it lasts forever! It eventually turns a nice light green as it oxidizes. The strip I got was exactly to specs as you can see in my pics. It was almost exactly 2 inches wide and .32 mm thick as you can see in my pics. Pretty stiff stuff, suitable for flashing or roofing. This small strip at $16 comes to about 13 cents a square inch. That is $18 a square foot. I'm assuming if you're getting large sheets, it will be considerable less expensive, but still way more than asphalt shingles or even perhaps slate. At any rate, I would recommend this for copper flashing and roofing. Myself, I'm a retired electronics technician, and I will be using this piece of copper as a grounding plane for an electronics project I'm building. ... show more

This is gorgeous copper sheeting! It's a generous 2 in. by 5 ft.; I plan on using it for my jewelry crafting. It's thick enough to make a sturdy base, but pliable and bendable enough for making bracelets. I used my kitchen shears to cut the first sample (not a good thing to do, but I don't have tin snips yet). Just be aware that it's real metal, and the cut edges are SHARP. I smoothed them off with a sharpening stone; probably a file would work even better. I'm very happy with the quality. ... show more
