  • Sturdy and solid. Worth the extra $$
Color: White
Looking at other options that are less expensive don’t have the storage or the sturdiness. Say that this is solid wood and thus it should be more sturdy. Sturdy it is. After assembly the kids can climb it like a jungle gym with no issues. The steps are super tall so that can be tough for the kids but they adapt and just go slower. Once you buy this, I can’t see you needing to get the kids another bed until teenage years. -Sturdy/heavy -Solid construction -Assembly took about 6 hours, solo. Broke it up in 2 days due to work. -Storage space Small upgrades to request. -Wish it had 2 middle braces if the kids decide to jump more. -Wish it had one more vertical brace on the long sides to beef up support. -Wish the top small guard had 2 pins for lateral support, instead of just 1. -Wish delivery boxes where marked showing what was the bed, steps, and storage. You can make it out but a picture would help simplify it. No real Cons as the above are just quality of life adds. The price is a little high but you get a Solid bed that will last. Pay now and not worry for over a decade when the kids outgrow it. ... show more

  • Just what we were looking for!
Color: White
I bought this for my 4 year old son and he LOVES it! It's perfect for his smaller room and he has slept on both the top and bottom bunk. It feels very sturdy and I've laid with him on the top and bottom bunk. It's shorter than the bunk bed we had in our last home (we moved cross country and just bought a new bunk bed rather than moving the old one). I think it might be a bit shorter than standard, but it's perfect for kids. Probably wouldn't recommend it for larger teens or older, but it's great for young kids! ... show more

  • Awesome bunk bed that's sturdy and well built. (Have Advil ready for your back after its complete!)
Color: White
I'm a handy person and was excited to tackle the building of this bed. Product ships in multiple packages that aren't necessarily labeled as to their contents. So, a large work area is a must to unpack and organize the different pieces. Products are well packed, and each piece is labeled with a small sticker for easy identification during the build process. 99% of the pieces were perfect, and only one or two had small imperfections that were able to be hidden on the wall side of the bed. It took me about 7 hours by myself to build the entire bed with storage drawers with a few lower back breaks and lunch. Factored into that time was also the multiple trips to and from the garage where I was assembling pieces and then taking them into the bedroom. The pieces went together exactly as they should have. I was impressed at the exactness of the fit when attaching multiple pieces together. Screw holes and dowel holes lined right up with no issue. I only needed another persons help when taking one bed fully assembled and stacking it on the other. Otherwise, the pieces are able to be moved by any ordinary capable person, and if you're assembling it in the room its going in, it'll be even easier. I chose the garage as I needed to organize all the parts and get my game plan. I will say, you NEED to use a powered screw driver even though I think the manufacturer doesn't suggest it. If you don't have one, I don't know if i'd attempt building this myself honestly. Your fingers and hands will suffer greatly as there are a LOT of things to screw in/together. For instance, there are (I think) 56 screws, 28 per bed for just the wooden slats alone that hold the mattress up. Do yourself a favor and use a power tool. Turn the torque down so you don't split the wood, and hand tighten the things that need to be nice and tight. The only "obstacle" I encountered and I have a hard time even calling it that, was when reading the directions as to which way to orient the stairs (left entry or right). I ended up using the "right" which actually is "left" to my brain. The kids go up the stairs and go left into the bed. The only thing I can think the manufacturer meant by "right" in my case is the railing is on the right, not the entrance. So, that's what I put in my mind as I went through the multiple steps for a "right" orientation. Other than that, the quality is superb and the instructions are fantastic. For an almost $1000 bed for kids, I'd hope to have these things at a minimum, and they delivered. Its a big purchase that I dont regret one bit. ... show more

This taken me three days to put together. I am a busy mom and did this all by my self and it's worth the pain and lots of which way is what lol I didn't want to pay a high price to have it put together. I did regret not paying fir them putting it together. It all worked out I save my self over $200 by me justifying it. The kids love it I love it totally worth it. Heavy duty and it can be separated when they have more room to grow. I made a Awesome choice ... show more

  • Nicer than expected. Real wood, not particle board.
Color: White
Kids love it. Tons of storage. Drawers are surprisingly huge so you can put a lot of toys or clothes in them. Sturdy and nicer than expected.

  • TIPS FOR PUTTING TOGETHER
Color: White
so happy with the purchase. It took 6 hours with a break. The directions are only visual diagram directions. Pay attention to the visual placements as far as screw holes, etc. You do not need a drill even when there is not pre designated holes - the wood in pine but still soft enough to push the screw into placement and then screw in. My daughter and I put it together our selves. I would suggest the when putting together the top bed you don't add the last mattress slot nearest to where you want the steps to be until you put the stair rail up top on, cuz you'll need to get an angle that is in the way - we put it all together and just had to undo it and then screw back in again - so don't worry about it if you make a mistake. One other suggestion is that when you build the lower bunk bed, I would put in the frame bracket one screw in (see the diagram of that last placement to make it make sense)- that way when your finishing the stairs you'll only have to get under the bed to screw the other bracket into the staircase. We didn't know it so since this is a final bed direction, it was a difficult angle to get from under a small space - and if your not an average built it might be impossible to angle in. The staircase has a portion that goes behind the bed area (2-3 inches), it does not have predrilled holes - you don't need predrilled - we pushed screwed them in - one of us starting at the top, the other at the bottom and pushing the wood together screwing in toward the middle - sounds more difficult that it was - it was super easy. My 4 year old twin granddaughters just love it - best purchase ever..... ... show more
