Just the other day, my son told me that he is scared of the slight gap between his bunk beds and the wall. We have a bed guard that gets installed under the fitted sheet or mattress pad, and I was mentally preparing myself to either strip the bed and install it, or convince the maid to do so (which I know would never work, based on what happened when I asked them to put the duvet cover on the duvet), and even if any of us managed to get it on, would have addressed the gap in only one of the two bunk beds, when - like "magic" - Amazon recommended this two pack of bed rails to me. JUST WHAT I NEEDED. One just puts them on the bed to cover the gap area. It takes one second! Each rail comes with a washable cover, which I washed immediately on a cold, gentle, cycle and hung to dry. They came out fine. Note that these bed rails work best when the bed is up against a wall, because they do not "connect" to the bed in any manner. These are what you want if the beds are up against walls, because the ones that "connect" to the bed are a pain to install, and make it more difficult to change the sheets. We used the one we have that goes under the fitted sheet / mattress pad when traveling to a place that had a bed in the middle of the room, and in that scenario, I would still use that other hassle of a bumper. But if the beds at issue are against a wall, then these bumpers are just the thing. So easy to clean and "install" (i.e., just set them on the beds). ... show more

These bedrails come vacuumed pack into small rolls. Once you unwrap them they quickly expand. I left them overnight and was pleasantly surprised to see how large they are. Nice flower pattern on the cover. The cover has a zipper that runs down the entire side which makes it easy to take off to throw in the wash. I got the 2 pack which include 2 rails. The photos show the rails on a queen bed. I laid them on top of the bed so you can get an idea of how long they are..52". I will install them for my granddaughter all the way to the top of the bed to make sure she doesn't fall out since she is a restless sleeper. These have gripping fabric on the bottom to keep them in place and are tall enough not to worry about falls. These are so much easier to install and uninstall than the framed bed rails that I replaced. The spare bed gets used quite a bit so this is the perfect solution when switching back and forth from adult to children. I currently have two fold-down type bedrails on a full mattress in my spare bedroom, for when the grandkids stay over. The rails are fine when they’re up and in use, but the rest of the time they’re just a pain. They have straps and long “legs” that go under the mattress, so making the bed is awful. When they’re folded down, I can’t get under the bed…well, they seemed like a good idea at the time. Enter these dreamy bed bumpers. So easy to put under a sheet. They have grippers to stay in place, and at 5” high, they’re tall enough to prevent the kids from rolling out. I had seen suggestions online of people using foam pool noodles for this very purpose, but these bumpers are so much taller and sturdier. Once I took them out of the vacuum package, they expanded quite nicely. Even expanded, they’ll be easier to store than those bed rails. I got these for my 2 year old son who is about to transition to a full size bed. These rails are perfect! Exactly what I was looking for to go under his sheets and be high enough to where I'd be hard to roll over. This is gonna help ease my mind of him rolling out of bed so easily as he learns how to stay within the parameters of the new bed. I did give them about a 24-48 hours to fully expand and air out before placing them under the sheets and making the bed up. I feel any memory foam product that is vaccum sealed needs to have a chance to fully fluff up before being used to its fullest. ... show more

We got a bigger bed for our kids and have been using an inflatable bed bumper/guard to prevent any falls in the middle of the night. While that was perfectly functional, it kept moving and made noises when being rubbed. This memory foam one is sturdy, soft, and quiet, and I really like it.
