I got this primarily for a trip with my child meaning to use it with the hotel beds. So far I am pretty satisfied with using it at home. The assembly was straightforward, beige color looks cute. I don’t expect this rail to protect my child from falling off the bed when he is awake. In fact, since the slats of my bed are not screwed to the frame I can see how the whole construction can lean if a 10 kg infant pushes it. But it gives me some peace in mind during the sleep. I purchased the bed rail for my dog. She is older and fell off the bed one night (fortunately she wasn’t hurt) but I didn’t want it to happen again. I was able to install it at the bottom of the bed where she sleeps and it has worked perfectly. She sometimes sleeps up against it. I had it put together in about 10 minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and explained it step by step in addition to pictures. I love the fact that I can unlock it and put it down to change the sheets and make the bed. These were easy to assemble and are extremely sturdy. We used them on a slat bed and didn't even need to secure them with the included hardware. Two kids were leaning on them and pushing against them, and they didn't budge.

The bed rail works beautifully. Easy to install and use daily. I just wish it was a taller as we do have a thick memory foam mattress and it doesn’t offer much height. My son is 8 months now but once he’s figured out how to look over we’ll definitely need a taller one.

I like the security features for the railing. But it was a bit smaller than I thought. I will return and get a longer one. Also need to measure how high your bed frame is. If it is on shorter side the side panel will not fall flush when you close.
