Had to replace the seal after about 2 months of use (would've been 5 stars). Noticed a small leak and tracked it to the thermostat housing. Replaced the seal (<$2) and all is well again. Would buy again.

    • Did not work in 2002 Lexus RX 300. Caused overheating.
I bought this to replace the factory thermostat in a 20 year old Lexus RX 300. I suspected the thermostat was about to go, as the temperature gauge would sometimes drift slightly above its usual spot at operating temperature. The first thing I noticed about this part is that it looks completely different from the OEM part. It did fit though, so I finished the installation, replaced the coolant (with a vacuum fill tool) and burped the system for good measure. The engine started to overheat within minutes of the first drive. Replacing the part fixed the issue. I'd suggest buying one of the thermostats that at least resemble the OEM part in appearance. ... show more

Thermostat Fit right in 2006 Avalon 3.5 V6 .it also works well despite its looks. The original 82°celcius looks beefier but also has an inner o ring that would have eventually rotted off in my cooling system.
