I bought this on a whim hoping to save a pair of my son's shorts that were almost new. They had gotten "pilly" soon after the first wash and by the third, he thought they looked so bad he didn't want to wear them anymore. So i figured I would give this shaver a try and within minutes the shorts were back to looking like new! I tried it on a few sweaters and the inside of a fleece jacket as well and it worked wonders on all of them. I can't believe it took me this long to discover this! For as little as this machine costs it will pay for itself in no time because of all the clothes it will save. I love how easy it is to use too. It comes with different guides and settings but it really is as easy as just putting batteries in it and turning it on. It’s not often I take the time to write a review, but this little gem of a tool solved a big problem for me and saved me a lot of money. I bought it to shave off the little white threads on the back of my shorts that to me looked like glue. I buy expensive golf shorts with spandex and the rear end near seam between my “cheeks” gets some glue-like little white fibers (probably from sweat of mikes if walking) and I had tried everything to remove them. I’ve had someone ask me “what’s on your shorts.” And that did it. I finally did a google search to see if anyone else was having this problem and so many people said they also had the problem. Then one of the answers said to buy a fabric shaver. I had never heard of that, but I looked it up on Amazon (which we fondly call Amazin) and found this neat little fabric shaver with spare blades. I just tried it on the back of my shorts and they look good as new! I’m truly amazed! I love this little thing and hope it helps others as well as it helped me (and prevented me from having to buy new pairs of shorts) ... show more

So glad I bought this! Our couch was pilling and I was so annoyed at how bad it looked. This little thing did the trick! Works great, easy to use, easy to empty. It does need two AA batteries that aren’t included.

My daughter RAVED about this little appliance: "it saved my sweater, made my leggings look like new, yada, yada, yada". So when I considered throwing away a relatively new cotton fitted sheet because it had developed scratchy pills where my feet kicked around, I decided to buy it and give it a shot. When I emptied the box of all the accessories, I feared it would be complicated. But it is not difficult to use and the included parts just make it more flexible for more purposes as needed. Lo and behold, it worked like magic to remove the bumps on my sheet, so they are smooth again and so much more comfortable. I also used it to freshen up several knit t-shirts that had started to pill and then I was actually looking for more items I could "fix". The lint collects in the chamber and is very easy to empty without making a mess. For the price, this shaver cannot be beat, so I decided I needed to come back to Amazon to do a little raving of my own! ... show more
