I had recently tried to purchase gray suede winter boots, looking around, either too pricey for an extra pair (I do not always wear gray) but wanted something. Many of those around did not have the Bearpaw quality! If the were of another famous for this type of style, it was more expensive. After all, I am a value buyer! The boots felt great right out of the box! The color a gorgeous warm lighter, but not pale, gray and the faux fur trim was perfect. Loved - really loved - the thickness of the soft lining - it surely beats wearing socks - living in the LV valley, it gets cold at night - raw desert cold - and in the day - your feet really need comfort and cuddling. I go sockless - this was perfecto! I cannot say how pleased I was with these - it was a chancy thing for me to purchase, as buying footwear online always is, but, a great result! Highly - very highly - recommend this boot! It is water resistant (not waterproof) and very easily comes off and on your foot and leg - the calf is a bit wide, which is good for getting in those corduroy jeans or leggings! I have been buying Bearpaw boots for over a decade now. I bought my first pair after getting sick and tired of winter boots only lasting me 2 seasons - if even that. I practically live in my boots from mid fall to mid spring. My first pair of Bearpaw boots were a classic mukluk style made with rabbit fur leggings and leather uppers and I loved them. They lasted about 6 years before the soles got cracked and could not be repaired so I ordered a second pair. Those just finally wore out after again 6-7 years and I just ordered a third pair. The style I originally got twice before is no longer available in my size so I had to switch to a different calf hugging style called Genevieve. When I bought my original pair, several reviews advised buying them a half size up for a good fit and I did so. I was very pleased with the fit, so I did so this time as well. I usually wear a size 6 1/2 so I ordered a size 7 and they fit perfectly with the socks I always wear with boots. My only concern was how they would slip on and off with this different calf hugging style and - being taller than the previous style - if they would fit comfortably over pants legs. I'm pleased to say they slipped on with ease and my pants legs tucked into them quite nicely without my feeling like my calves were wrapped in a tourniquet (as I've had with other boots I've bought). They were comfortable to walk in and quite warm - if my feet are cold it doesn't matter how bundled up the rest of me is, my thermostat must be set to what my feet feel like. When it came time to take them off, I did have to pull a bit harder than with slipping them on, but in all, they did come off fairly easily as well and all by myself. I did not have to get my husband to tug them off while I hung onto the chair for dear life. I prefer having boots I can get on and off myself without the aid of a dresser and these fit the bill quite well. Hopefully, they will also last 6 or more years and when they finally wear out, I will gladly replace them with another pair of Bearpaws. ... show more

I have wide calves, measuring 18.5 in circumference. These hit, in the back, just below widest part of calf so, having wide calves is not an issue. They are super cute & warm. There is a slight heel & if I'm walking too fast, I feel like my feet slide forward & bunch a bit, since I'm not wearing socks & the inside is so smooth. I may try socks to see if that helps. No other issues though, just bear the sliding foot thing in mind. ... show more

Unbelievable that I paid about 20 bucks less than retail price for these. They're real! I've been a bear paw girly since they came out. I don't like uggs or what that company stands for. But I've yet to be disappointed with bear paws. Any way, I digress. The boots are official. They feel,smell and fit like they should. Box came in great condition and really quick. The buckle designs are actual functional buckles. The soles are a bit different from the other design with the logo on the bottom but I'm not disappointed with the support and quality of this pair of boots. Unbelievable how cheap I got these for. And they're Real! See, this is why I like ordering from Amazon. If i scroll thoroughly enough I usually find an item at a cheap price and the shipping with Amazon is always on point. I'm so happy I ordered these. They take about 2 years till they start deteriorating and even after I retire a pair for a new one I can still use my older pairs. These are wonderful. They are comfortable and most important they are warm. Other reviews mentioned that the insoles slip. I cannot comment on that because i always have to add plantar fasciitis insoles to all of my footwear so my insoles have held the boot insoles in place. The fur detailing on the outside of the boots is a very nice touch. I ordered these to replace my previous pair of bearpaw boots which has turned out to be too heavy for my ankle since i tore one of the tendons in it this past july. After that i need my shoes to be as light as possible to keep the weight from hurting my ankle. These are lighter than my previous boots (bearpaw desdemona). I wore these boots to work one night and i wore them all night while working. Absolutely no issues with weight. They are very lightweight. Love them. ... show more

I have wide calves (like 19”) and I thought I would take a risk on a whim being these allowed me to “try before I buy”. I was not disappointed! They fit perfectly over my skinny jeans and are super comfortable. The slight heel adds more support than the typical flat Ugg-style boots and I can wear them more often than any of my Uggs, comfortably.
