I found the product easy to use. I didn’t have much at stake because I only needed to use the adhesive for a short time so I can’t attest to its longevity. The main goal was to make sure that the glass would not shatter. It did not.

    • Almost impossible to install without bubbles

I actually think it's impossible to install without bubbles, but I expect every now and again someone does a perfect install. The installation kit that comes with the film is surprisingly good, I ordered a separate high-quality installation kit and didn't need it. I was only installing on 12" x 18" windows so it wasn't too difficult to handle. I was thinking of also putting it on my 48" x 60" picture windows but I think it would be very difficult to stop it curling up and sticking to itself. Definitely a two-person job and even then you'd have to be careful. One lapse of concentration and you've wasted $50 of film. Follow the instructions. You really need to clean the windows well and then soak them with water before you apply the film otherwise you will just waste film. It's the only way you stand a chance of getting the bubbles out. Note: I recommend washing the windows, cutting the rough shape, peeling back a corner of the film and inserting something between, wetting down the glass, then installing. It's quite tricky to peel back the corner and the window dries in 30 seconds. I took a star off because I don't appreciate them printing Acts 2:12 on the box. Not everyone is a christian or likes to be preached at. I doubt they would appreciate receiving products with quotes from the Tripitaka printed on them. Update: Even though I was almost bubble free immediately after the install , I noticed a lot of bubbles appearing within 24 hours. I can't get rid of them. It's like the film expands slightly as it dries or something. Very disappointed. I won't be using this on my picture windows. They would ruin the view. ... show more

After my wife and I failed miserably with tinting our own car windows, we were ready to learn from our mistakesand try again. We used this clear vinyl to do the lower half of our big window to protect our dog's eyes since he sits there and stares into the sun all day. It's definitely clear! I have to look real hard to find the top edge, and there's no noticeable difference in clarity. Tips: Be really liberal with how much your spray. And after placing the vinyl on the glass, use the carpeted side of the squeegee that comes with the product to avoid scraping the vinyl ... show more

First off, it has glue. WHY?? they would put glue on a static cling window film is beyond me, but there IS and it makes installing it extremely difficult. IF you manage to get it on the window without fingerprints because there's GLUE on it...good luck getting any air bubbles out. The glue prevents them from sliding out; when you press harder it mars the finish so it's no longer 'pristine'. Considering I've done my entire house in privacy film except the ONE window I wanted to leave an outside view, I KNOW how to install window film. This abomination doesn't qualify as window film, it's a window sticker, and good luck getting air bubbles out around the glue they decided to put on this junk, or having a 'naked glass' appearance. I'll save this item to my wish list titled NEVER BUY just so I can warn others who ask me for recommendations. ... show more

If your window trim is deep, unlike a sliding glass door, you need to trim almost to size, as the rigidity of the film paired with the right angle of the trim will prevent sealing. We changed the instructions and cut with the razor as we went down the window. Do this with the video for sure, and cut it almost to size for a deeper set window. Be ready to improvise. We smoothed and cut, smoothed and cut, and it was fine. We have a few strange fingerprint like points that won't smooth out, but the window has shades and other distractions, no big deal. Had it been a sliding glass door, I think we'd have done better. If you're prone to seasickness, you will notice it when done, but otherwise, it's pretty clear. Overall, we're happy with it.
