Why are the scar prosthetics so big?? It took up half my face, completely defeating the purpose of putting on makeup to begin with. I'll have to cut the white from the scars, because I only needed the scars, not half my face "painted" for me.

I bought rhis for my son. I followed the directions for the scars, but we didnt like them. He'd have to have stayed the whole day with his mouth semi closed so as no to disturb the scars. We proceeded to put rhe makeup on them, to see the final result: the edges are somewaht thick so it doesnt really blend with the cheeks. I ended up removing them, and drawing the scars in. This kit seemed to have a good potential. I even bought two just to have one to experiment with, didn't think it was enough make up for more than just one make up session. The green coloring was not exactly what I expected, it did not get into my hair well enough and it was gone so fast, only covered the very top of my hair. The comb was a good idea but again the coloring was not much to play with. The white face paint was easey to apply and worked very well indeed. The black color was not all that great, application on it needed some work to it since working it for the eyes was quite the sweat. The red was very easy to use and applied very well. Last but not least, the scars was what I was most disappointed with, maybe I didnt apply it correctly but the adhesive was not staying put at all... to the point I instead just did the scars with the black and red. ... show more

The white facepaint is really slimy and doesn't stay on that well, especially on angled areas like the nose. Thankfully, it comes with a lot of it, so you'll just have to spend some time working and it should look ok. I guess the alternative is something incredibly dry and crusty, so I'd rather have this than that. The red and black makeup crayons work really well, but you probably want actual eyeliner in addition to this. Didn't use the greenish hair tube because we got the Joker hairspray. Didn't use the scars either. It's a pretty convenient set, so I'd say get this rather than buying a bunch of stuff separately. ... show more

Overall, i liked it. After I blended the scars into the white paint they didn't stay on well. I didn't use the hair paint as it was a cream & too thick. Spray paint would be much better.

I purchased this for my son. Delivery was fast and transaction was smooth. When the kit arrived it was different than pictured. The tubes of makeup and adhesive were all there. The scars were flesh colored and larger, rather than the red strips pictured. We had to apply makeup to the scars as well. With the crevices in the material, it was somewhat difficult to get the right look. In the end, it did the job, the adhesive looks and smells just like Elmer's glue. When my son got sweaty Halloween night the scars started to "run." Once he stopped sweating, it set again. ... show more
