The 1-year old was able to quickly and efficiently hook onto the dog’s collar. The hook is shaped upwards enough that a small Yorkie was unable to shake out of it. The rod is easy for tiny hands to grasp. The ‘rope’ portion of the rod is actually plastic and not bendable, which adds sturdiness when fishing for Yorkies. I like it. It is nice for my 3 year old since the hook takes a little more effort and skill than the magnet ones. I am not a huge fan of squeeze toys for the bath because I know they will get moldy at some point. You could always plug the hole, but then that is more work. Overall, this is a fun toy that is cheap enough so if I need to throw it out at some point I will not be heart broken. ... show more

My 2 year old granddaughter loved this the moment she saw it. She loves to play with it in our pool each week when she is here. It dries quickly and the net bag makes it easy to put the little toys in one place and have them wait for the return visit the following week. The toys are soft squirt plastic and then there are the hard plastic ones. The little fishing rod is also a cute feature. My granddaughter either plays with the set on the shallow steps of the pool or pool side with the toys in a large bucket where she takes them in and out of.     • Fun but Flimsy
They’re a lot of fun and very cute but the rods are very flimsy. The rod won’t stay extended. The magnets fell off the rods within a couple of uses. The little sea creatures are fun in the tub/pool even without the rods. Great for teaching different sea animal names.
