I have always hated water shoes but hate the feeling of the ocean floor more. Usually they pick or run somewhere or flop off or the soles are too thin. Not any of those issues with these. Feels like I am wearing socks. The openings are stretchy enough to get your foot in easily but small enough and tight enough that the sand doesn't really get in. Very flexible.
