I bought this little guy because he looks like my Native American son. Win-win there. I also bought him because the set of clothes I ordered separately did not fit our other Ken, which turned out to be a 'fashionista' doll. Silly me for not knowing the dolls are no longer one size and the clothing out there is not up to date on labeling. Ugh. This doll fits the bulk of all the 'Ken' clothes we have now acquired in trying to dress the other 'Ken.' My little ones do wish this shirt had a closure for modesty, but it was easy enough to attach a piece of velcro. Great little doll. He arrived in a box with several other items. His packaging was not sealed at the bottom - as in it doesn't look like it was EVER sealed (there was no peeling up). There is something about this Ken doll that just makes me happy. He is so cute and I love his smile. I think that he is a pretty good doll given the price point, I like that he appears biracial and his face is very handsome. He feels solid although there is little articulation I think he displays nicely. Especially if you change is clothes into something better than the cheap outfit he came in. I like the idea of these Ken's coming with a vintage inspired Ken outfit but the striped shirt and red shorts just felt a bit cheap in my opinion. I did like the sandals though, they are a nice neutral translucent brown. I redressed him in a more modern looking Ken outfit and he looks ten times better and more expensive than he did in his original outfit. ... show more

    • Awesome Ken doll, who puts up with my crap.
My daughter has 3 Barbie dolls, 1 Elsa doll, and 1 Ariel doll in her Dream House. She decided she needed a man to make things interesting. Yeah, you can see what's coming next: Five young, single women, one single man. Her sweet, loving dolls became crazy and fought each other (true story, but that only happens when I play with her, as I'm possibly not the most appropriate adult, and may make the dolls in my command say things that would make a sailor blush. Lalala......) Anyway..... He's a great guy for putting up with all that drama and I highly recommend him. He's adorable as well. I'd fight for him, too, if I were a single, straight, doll. ... show more

Doll itself was great. My daughter loved it as one of her gifts. Amazon's packaging off the item is what failed on this order. They packaged the do in a paper envelope. Both even the kind with the bubble wrap. This allowed for the doll not to be protected during shipping and the mattel packaging to be damaged. I would have not been able to give those as a gift had it not been for my own child. See pictures of mattel packaging pulled apart from lack of protective shipping on Amazon's ended. ... show more
