This is the second version of this type of arm rest cup holder thing I've used, and they are so wonderful. This one is slightly different in that the holder is raised and can be slid off. It's interesting that it is pulled down rather than up, I think, but it does not slip off when just sitting. I thought it might be awkward because of the lip, but it hasn't been. It holds a remote easily.if you want to put a plate or something you can slide the older off and you have a flat surface. The holder has a tilted slot for a phone, which is a little close for watching in this chair, but the grips and weight are good enough so I can push it up slightly without any kind of instability. That is my favorite thing about this style of chair arm holder, the stability. I've found them to be so chill no matter what's going on, in the couch or chair. Whether that's me getting up or down or my cat jumping around next to it. It's been a useful thing to have since I don't have room for an end table to put a drink on and this has been a major upgrade from the floor in front of me. ... show more

This armrest tray is light weight, but has a type of felt backing with tiny rubber nubs to keep the tray in place. The top tray with cup holder, can be completely removed or you can slide it back partially for additional space on the armrest tray. I have never seen any other armrest tray like this before. It's made well and a nice addition to a living room, family room or den. It is good on a sofa, loveseat or oversized chair with wide armrests. I tried it on my accent chair that has smaller armrests (about a 4" width) and it is not secure on that chair. ... show more

I was a little worried that this item would look low-brow on my sofa and in my great room, but I really needed someplace to put my remote and the occasional cup of tea. It's not super big (wouldn't hold a big mac and fries), and the bamboo dresses up the look, such that I could probably put a beer (a craft brew, not a Bud Lite) on it without damaging the ambiance of my room. All snobbery aside, this seems well-made, and I really like that the side "drapes" are long enough to really stabilize the holder. Upon unboxing the item, I noticed the item itself was sturdy and made nicely. The wood is a pleasing color and holds good weight to stay positioned on the arm of any couch or recliner without tipping over. I definitely recommend if you’re in the market.

This fit my larger rolled couch arm well. Heavy flexible materials stay put. The bamboo has a smooth finish, no chips or splintering anywhere, well made. There is a grippy material on the backside. This is a lighter wood color, favors a light oak. The top piece slides smoothly and stays pretty stable pulled out. I'm not sure yet if I will trust it for a cup of coffee but great for remotes, pens, mouse, notepads, etc. Maybe a drink with a lid. Helps clear up my pc table. ... show more
