They are comfortable and breathable and perfect for camping and hiking. She likes the convenience of the pockets. So far, they seem to be pretty durable (no tears in them yet). She does wish that they could be a little longer to keep the grass seeds and debris out of her shoes and socks as she's trekking through the great outdoors. I purchased these pants because although I am 5'7" I have a long inseam and these are perfect! I bought the pants in suntan and it is beautiful light khaki and can be worn with many colors. I like all of the zippered pockets and they are large enough to hold essentials. Also, compared to some other hiking pants I purchased the waistband on this is very comfortable! Bought these for active travel where thin, quick dry material made packing light easy and allowed for sink washing if needed. Sizing was small and i had to return my first order to get a size larger. Had very low expectations for the larger size, but was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable, cool and breathable, don't fall down. These pants are comfortable and perfect for hiking - especially in the warmer weather. Lots of pockets. Nice looking. All my hiking buddies are interested in buying these now. I don’t worry about wrinkles in my hiking pants, but I haven’t noticed any wrinkling with these. They are fairly thin, so they probably wouldn’t be good if you’re in especially rough terrain -like rock climbing , but for trail hiking, they’re great. ... show more

I bought these for a hiking trip in Central America. I needed something that was lightweight and water resistant. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and quality of these pants. Very comfortable and well made. I even found them to be flattering. While I haven't worn them in wet conditions yet, I believe they would perform just fine. I'm 5'2" weighing 118lb. I bought a Medium Petite Black pair .Waist felt too tight and the pants felt like they fit really well but not loosely enough. Returned and bought Large in black and green.     • Great Pants but Rip Easily and Small in the Hips

These are awesome pants, I love that they offer petite sizes and they’re pretty water resistant and perform well over leggings in the winter and by themselves when it’s warmer out. I ordered a pair a couple of years ago in a size L, they’ve always been a bit tight in the butt area but I decided to keep them anyway. However, they ripped the first time I used them (in the butt area, haha, but not because it was too tight— I was hiking and they got ripped on some rocks). They’ve also ripped another time since then. I still liked them for the price and water resistance, so I ordered another pair this year and sized up to an XL. Unfortunately those are wayyyy too tight in the hips/butt (even more than the former Large) and the zipper pockets gape open (drawing attention to how small they are, eeek). I am returning them, hoping an XXL will fit better though I am normally a size L or XL sometimes. Everywhere else in the pants fit great though, so I’m hoping I’ll be more comfortable in the next size up. If you don’t need any extra space in the hips and butt area (thighs too, probably) then your normal size should work well! ... show more

Lightweight and comfortable, they have plenty of pockets, and they don't wrinkle. Wash them out at night, and they are dry in the morning. I travel with two pairs when I go on a trip: one for hiking during the day, and one for the evening for dinner.
