The magnets are plenty strong but allows for flexibility to show the difference between the stability of a triangle vs a square. Also you can make a few platonic solids. The short links are about the same length as the big kid ones. I'm a bit disappointed that the stems are different lengths and some are curved but it was in the picture so I should have known. The picture for this item is much different than the actual shipment. The box I received was small and didn’t have nearly as many magnets as the picture advertised. Hardly enough to really build something with them. They’re small and they’ll do the job for my one year old. But kinda disappointed.

It is fun, however the picture was very misleading-shows very large pieces and they are actually finger size logs and small ping pong sized balls. The picture of the child playing with very large pieces should be removed.

The pieces were a good size for a child to assemble. They are very durable and will last for lots of play time. Bright colors and magnets are powerful enough to hold the shapes being made, which has been an issue for us with magnetic shapes previously. Less frustration happening.
