Having been pickpocketed overseas many years ago I knew I definitely did not want a repeat this time so I purchased this little bag and it proved to be very safe indeed. I was able to fit all of my valuables in the several little compartments it provided and easily kept them secure on my person. When/if purchasing, keep in mind It’s not as large as a regular sized backpack but it’ll hold up to being fully packed. The zippers never snagged and the locking zipper handles held up perfectly. This just might be The Perfect Backpack. I love the tone-on-tone animal print! I was a bit concerned that it was going to be too small, after reading sone of the reviews. But it really has plenty of room to hold all of the things I carry. The two outside pockets are just the right size for an umbrella and water bottle. I love all of the inside pockets and compartments, and the outside sections. It makes it easy to organize my items without adding bulk. The fabric is soft but very durable. The shoulder straps are comfortable. The zippers glide easily. I will feel confident using this when I travel due to all of the anti-theft and safety/locking features. Surprisingly, it has become my every-day, go-to bag. I bought it with the intention of using it for travel, but it works perfectly for everyday use. It’s lightweight and very easy to carry. I would have loved to keep this bag. There's a lot to like about it, such as size, organization and material. But I returned it because the straps are wide, very stiff and dug into my arms. I ended up getting the Baggallini Modern Excursion Backpack instead, which I actually like a bit less (too many external pockets on the front for me and fewer security features) but which has padded straps that fit me much better. ... show more

Baggallini has changed my attitude about carrying a backpack. I’ve never enjoyed carrying a backpack, but I am adamant about keeping my personal information safe. Also, sometimes I need more room than a handbag when I do day trips with my grandson. I was a little skeptical about this backpack, especially because of the cost. I have used this backpack three times for day trips. I absolutely love it! It is lightweight, even packed full. It is not as big as most backpacks as you can see by the pics. It has an anti-theft RFID-blocking technology pocket inside the bag which keeps your phone secure and a separate anti-theft locking zippered pocket for debit/credit cards, driver’s license, insurance cards, cash, keys, and any personal information you want protected. I like that this pocket is easy to get to, but it is against my back when I wear the backpack. Therefore, no one can walk up behind me and unzip it. Baggallini advertises this bag as slash resistant material and water resistant. There are so many pockets inside and out to separate your items. There are two pockets on each side for water or drink bottles. Overall, I am very pleased and pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I love this bag it is very secure. The only issue I have is the size I would like to get the same bag but in a larger size. The bag is great for a few things but I need more room when traveling on a trip. It was not deep enough to carry what I needed on the plane. Although it has so many pockets it is very easy to organize things in. Only issue I would like the same bag in a bigger size. It is pricey but it is so secure. The bag also keeps my things dry if I am out in the rain ... show more

Used this on a recent trip. Was disappointed that a "travel" backpack didn't have one of those straps that you can slide over the handle of your suitcase. I realize that I should have noticed this when looking at the features of the bag, I just have not seen a backpack for travel that didn't have that feature before.
