I'm loving this for removing bubble from epoxy resin. I did learn how to use this from YouTube videos. I don't know why they can't send clear cut instructions for the price paid. Anyways, after using it a few times I now have confidence in the product and I am not intimidated anymore. It is really good quality. I am just wondering why it leaks a little bit of oil around the cap? Hummm? That has not impeded the operation of the machine though. I did go ahead and buy more oil to have on hand as the bottle it comes with is just enough to fill to the operation line in the tank. This does exactly what I need it to do for resin casting but I have concerns about the pump. The first few times I used this the pump was able to pull the vacuum to -1 to pull the air out of the resin that I use. It pulled the vacuum quickly and the pump was very quiet. Though after the first few times I have noticed it takes longer to pull the same vacuum and have noticed some "smoke" from the pump, though it may also be the pump oil getting hot. The pump still works and does what it needs to do for the resin work I do. I just have to keep an eye on it and I have a laser temp reader that I keep an eye on the pump temp when it pulls a -1 vacuum. So time will tell if the pump keeps working and this is the oil getting hot and venting, or if it is the pump itself having issues. I may try a high end vacuum pump oil and see if this helps resolve my concerns and the "smoke" that I see. ... show more

This is my first degasser- I've read a lot of reviews and seen it in action in various YouTube videos- If I was going to say anything about it- the glass top was very smugged up, the top didn't seem like a previous return but you never know- other than that it works good.

3+ years old. My window fan is twice as loud as this. I don't use it every day, more like once or twice a month. I stabilize woods, de gas silicone for molds and such. Customer service was very accommodating. It sux that I needed it but the lid was cracking. Cactus Juice does NOT affect the acrylic top, Poor materials I'd say. That being said if you are looking at this try to contact them 1st and see if you can get the glass top drilled instead of the acrylic one. I didn't like the volume restrictions on the side mounted gauge. All in all I am very happy. If this were a production shop my opinion might be different but for my use it is fine. ... show more
