My neighborhood is from the 50’s and we all have chain link fencing. We are not allowed to take it down or to weave slats into it…HOWEVER…it appears to be ok to put this beautiful bamboo fence roll on the chainlink. I used tan heavy duty plastic wire ties for now but I will change over to real wire before summer ends for longer life. It looks just beautiful! I used a 2x4 up against the fence to balance the bamboo on to keep up off the ground until lashed to the chainlink, then moved the board down the line until all the bamboo was installed. I’ll keep saving up for more until my whole yard is done. I love the look! The bamboo was beautiful and sturdy right out of the box, very easy for this 65 yr. Old lady to install by myself.the hardest part for muscling the box full of bamboo to the fence line. It heavy stuff. I went with natural which was so beautiful. This will make such a nice back drop for my new landscaping I am slowly installing. I added a before photo to show how little privacy I had before adding the bamboo roll fencing. ... show more

When I opened the first box I was impressed with the size of the bamboo shoots and how clean they were. Not only were the tops sealed, but most of the bottoms were as well. Unfortunately, the fencing in the second box was much less impressive. The shoots were a smaller diamater than the fist box, not nearly as clean, and only sealed on one end. There were a few split shoots as well. I wouldn't complain about the inconsistencies except these are being used side-by-side so it will be noticeable. Be aware that these may not match perfectly. Not surprising for an organic product but they do lose a star for that. I would buy these again. ... show more

I intended to put this on a 8' wide fence gate on the side of my house. I have used the thin type of fencing in the past and unfortunately I didn't realise how heavy this 1" fencing would be. This was almost twice the price then the bamboo fencing I got a home Depot ,(which was great) . Most of the bamboo is poor quality, and 1/2 are too tiny for the wire holes that string it together so just broken. Misdrilled holes everywhere.. horrible for 139 dollars. I have a 12 x 6 deck on my condo. I Purchased 3 of these and they fit perfectly. I simply used some plastic ties to secure them to the railing in various spots. I ordered 2 bamboo screens and they both arrived with broken parts and white mold on them. On one of the boxes you can clearly see water damage. Very disappointing and low quality for the price; the space between the gaps is pretty large, so it would not work as a privacy screen
