This is brown in color. I got this for my beautiful water plant. It looks like dirty water. Definitely not what I thought it was. I perfer to see my roots.

Admittedly, I didn't do an A/B test of seedlings with/without this mix, but most of my seedlings I separated this spring after winter sowing seem to be doing well! And I definitely forgot to put this at the bottom of the hole and instead put it on top of the soil after planting. I'll probably add a smidge more when I transplant these seedlings into the raised bed in the next week or two, this time remembering to do so at the bottom of the hole. Seems like a reasonable price and it at least didn't hurt anything. ... show more

I really like this plant food, it seems to be working well over the summer for my tomatoes and cucumbers. Better than some years past but I'd really need to test if further to be positive. I didn't use too much and still had a decent amount left over even though the bag isn't huge. This fertilizer seems to include some decent organic materials so maybe that really is helping with the great growth. I'll continue to use up the bag and see if I want to get more for next summer. ... show more
