Cordura fabric 1000D is our strongest fabric and is very abrasion and tear-resistant. The fibres are curled (air-textured). This causes a coarse textured, matte surface with a comfortable grip. If interwoven accordingly, Cordura fabric can be around twice as abrasion resistant as Oxford nylon or smooth polyester fabrics with the same thread weight. With only 30% additional weight, e.g. 1000D Cordura has an approximately 2.5x greater tear resistance than 420D Oxford nylon. Giant opening with self- standing mechanism.
