Our potty training book recommended this toilet insert so I got it. My son used it with no issue and eventually we were able to just remove it and have him use the toilet without the insert. Easy transition. Would definitely recommend this over separate potty training toilets.

I'm not sure this is boy friendly. The splash guard is useless, my son always gets over the hump. It would be useful if there were potty seats marketed for boys.
