  • Works extremely well; keeps baby nice and toasty
I am super happy with this sleep sack. We live out in the country and do not like to run the heat at night as propane is expensive. Luckily we live in a mild climate, relatively-speaking - the temps can drop to the 30s on cold winter nights but that's about all. Still, that makes for a fairly cold house without the heater on. We have a 14 month old and I had been putting her in warm footie PJs and a regular Halo Sleepsack but that was not keeping her warm enough - I noticed her feet were cold when I went to change her in the morning. I bought the Deedee Sleep Nest after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I did. Our baby stays toasty warm even on super cold (for us) nights. In fact, when I looked at thermostat this morning, it was 57 degrees in the house. I was worried that maybe she would be cold but when I checked her she was still nice and warm. For our other, older kids, down comforters keep them cozy during the winter nights. But I knew something that heavy wasn't good for a barely 1 year old, plus she'd most likely just kick it off, anyway. The sleep nest is basically a wearable comforter/duvet (as opposed to the sleep sack, which is more like a thin-type blanket), which is why I think it works a ton better than other similar products in terms of keeping baby warm. In terms of size, I bought the Medium, and my tall-ish 14 month old is pretty close to outgrowing it. So I would say if your baby is on the bigger size and is over 12 months, purchase the Large. Again, so happy with this product! Even though our baby is almost outgrowing it, we're happy to purchase the next size up to keep her nice and warm. It has given us great peace of mind, for sure. ... show more

  • Loved it
Size: 0-6 Month Color: Soy Latte
This was a life saver after my son decided he didn’t want to be swaddled anymore. I live in Idaho and the winters are very cold. He moved so much he’d loose all his blankets. Not only does he love his sleep sack but his blankets will stay stuck to the top of the sleep sack when it gets really cold.

  • Sleep Nest #2
I first bought a sleep nest in September and I absolutely love it! I did buy the large size for my LO even though he was a couple pounds less than the large size minimum because of other reviews. It was a little big at first but a few months and pounds later (plus a couple washes), it fits perfectly. The sleep nest is soft and really cozy. I feel comfortable with the sleep nest because it is the closest to our own bedding. He has slept so well since we switched to this sleep nest from the HALO cotton bag. This is the third sleep bag I tried and I have no reason to look further. Even though the Deedee sleep nest is more than the other sleep sacks, it is well worth the money and I think the quality is equal to what you pay. I get so many positive comments when people see my LO in his sleep nest. For baby showers, I like to give gifts that I have found the most valuable and am glad I don't live without. This is at the top of my list. I just bought a sleep nest for my niece who is due at the end of February. ... show more

  • Good sleeping sack
Size: 0-6 Month Color: Soy Latte
We use the sack every night for our LO to make sure he is warm enough and safe, it's easy to open and put back on even in the middle of the night when i have to change a diaper after a feed. The zipper zips downwards to avoid it getting stuck on his neck/chin as much as possible. I washed/dried it in our machines many times, and so far it kept its shape and color. UPDATE: my son is now 3 months old, and he is not very big, however his legs are reaching the end of the small size (small; 0-6). we ended up cutting the edge of the bag so he can stretch comfortably and we are still using it, however obviously it is not quite as warm with the edge cut :). Still love the bag and going to buy next size up, but sizes do run on the small side. ... show more

  • TOG 2.5. Warm, cozy wearable blanket for winter months.
My little guy is 28 inch, 19.5lb and Medium size fits great. TOG=2.5, this is a great wearable blanket for cold winter months. I didn't like fleece ones due to statics during dry winter days so this is a great solution. It's warm, he has plenty of leg room to wiggle around. He sleeps both on his back and tummy and he seems comfy. His feet are warm when he wakes up in the morning, but not overheated. Bottom line, great wearable blanket. Picture shows this product and Halo winter weight next to each other. Halo brand has larger leg room and narrower opening around back. This product has snaps on shoulder which makes it easier to put on and off. Thickness is pretty much the same. Both are great products! ... show more

  • Not for active toddlers....
It's good quality, feels like a cozy duvet, keeps baby warm and you can't beat the convenience of having the shoulder snaps! There was another review that said the large does not come with shoulder snaps...mine did. I received my order September 28, 2011 in Cookies & Cream (Large) and it has shoulder snaps. This color option just become available so it must have been recently added. Having the convenience of shoulder snaps was one biggest reasons why I chose this brand. The other reason was because everything that has shoulder snaps cost way over $100 bucks! My son is tall for a 8 month old and I just switched from the Medium to a Large. He is 30" long and weights 22 lbs (96% in height & 85% in weight). He still fits in the Medium but I wanted him to have extra room. The large is a bit big but he can wear it without any issues. Medium Label States: 6-18 mos 25-32" 16-26lb Shell: 100% cotton, Filling: 100% polyester Large Label States: 18-36 mos 31-39" 25-35lb Shell: 100% cotton, Filling: 100% polyester Update: My son is now 1 years old and I had to retired this sleepsack. It's very restricting at the bottom and my son cries/screams because he cannot stand up or move in it. Such a waste! It kept him so warm! Overall, I love that it's warm and has shoulder snaps but wish it had leg holes! ... show more
