UPDATE: customer service reached out to me and actually sent an updated model to replace the broken one we had. This one works great (we’ve used it 4 times now) and is much better with the on and off button. So happy that they can enjoy it and thankful they reached out. We got this as a gift and unfortunately after charging it, it either doesn’t stay on long OR it stays on forever until it eventually dies, even when not in water. My twin boys loved it but it’s impossible to use. I see there’s now an on/off switch - wish we could reach out and get it replaced but I don’t see a contact us. ... show more

My daughter (almost two) loves baths, her baths would be a couple hours long if I'd let her, so we get her all kinds of bath toys. She loves this little whale, one of her favorites with it's spouting of water and it's ability to cycle through colors. She likes to spin it so the water that is shooting up goes in a circular motion. We have had it since Christmas and so far no issues. It does take 6 hours to charge it to its fullest but will last my little one about 3 baths before we need to recharge it. One of the times we used it after charging it it seemed to be losing power of spraying water, I thought the battery was already going out but the color changing was normal, so I turned it over and where it sucks up water to spray there was a little mess of hair covering the holes, I picked it off and put it back into the water and it went right back to its normal spraying pressure. So you kind of get a mini filter for the bath as well. Would definitely recommend buying for little ones, especially if they love bath time; and if not maybe it can help make them enjoy bath time a little more(: ... show more

Update: The manufacture reached out and replaced the defective one. The new one actually has an on off button is not actuated by just putting in the water which helps it lasts a lot longer. Works great for three months and then it won’t shut off. Battery running out is the only way to shut it off. As soon as you plug it into charge, it starts back up. Would not recommend this one ... show more

Both kids loved this toy, worked for the first few charges and now it only sometimes works. Sometimes just the lights work, other times it’s just the water spout. The concept is really neat and as I said, it was a tub favorite.

    • Great toy! Does not last long since water leaks into power port

My daughter LOVED this toy. She loved turning it on and off. She loved seeing the water spout. She danced and played in the bathtub. But maintenance is an issue. Water, of course, gets into the top and bottom holes, as it should. Unfortunately, that water also travels inside, and leaks into the power port. So despite the fact that we kept our power port sealed shut with the rubber seal, every time we opened the bottom, the power port was wet. But we made do. I would open the bottom, shake the water out of the power port, and repeat for about 10-20 minutes until the power port was dry. Then I would leave the power port open overnight to dry, and the next day I would charge the dried whale. This worked out relatively well since our daughter takes a bath every other day. But that only lasted about 5 weeks. After a while, the water simply did too much damage. Now the unit won't charge. So...it's a fun product, with a short shelf life, and it takes a lot of effort and arm swinging to shake out all of the water in the power port. An unfortunately bad design. ... show more
