This is not a typical BabyAlive doll that drinks water and pees into diapers. There is one fun and unique thing about this doll. The non-removable headband is really kind of like a reservoir that pumps shampoo bubbles into it. The doll has to sit in her chair clipped in at the back (that’s what connects her with the shampoo bottle). As you pump the shampoo, it fills the headband with the bubbles. This creates for fun hair-do times and my daughter really likes this aspect. It can get messy but that is the fun part of it. I did not notice this when I purchased it, but unlike her beautiful golden locks on the back of her head, the front bangs are plastic. It is ridiculous to make plastic bangs for a doll that is marketed as a salon styling doll. Not to mention, her headband is not removable. Her top and her underwear are also plastic (the skirt is fabric though). So you can't style her bangs, can't remove headband and put another on, can't do proper dress up... All there is left is brush and braid hair, and play with shampoo bubbles. This is what she was made for. Now, she comes with nice accessories and I like her boots. She has a very cute face, nicely painted on. I do like the way she was packaged. All limbs and torso secured with straps of cardboard that are easily removed. ... show more
