The table arrived with more dents, holes and flaws than I can count. After paying extra for shipping, it's enormously frustrating to receive such a ratty, beat up table. (You also have to pay for return shipping, so that doubles the hassle & expense!) The color is nothing like the pictures. It's an intense, bright orange - certainly not what I thought I was purchasing when I ordered a "natural acacia" table. Why would anyone stain such a beautiful wood with such an obnoxious color? I had to exchange the first one due to a big crack across the surface. The wood seems a little softer than acacia typically is and the cracking along the grain rather than a seam makes me wonder if the wood was properly dried. The second table I received was in good shape when I unboxed it and it looks really nice assembled. Great color and a pretty good but not perfect finish. The curved edge is very nicely beveled. Instructions are in Japanese but it's a pretty simple assembly - you won't really need the instructions. The wood glue included for capping bolt holes was pretty useless, I'd recommend having a little of your own. After putting it all together I did notice some cracking around two of the bolts, so I filled that with wood glue. ... show more

    • Damaged table received.
Someone drove a forklift through the box and severely damaged the table's top. It was returned. It is disappointed as well as wasting of time. Updates: I ordered a replacement that came today. It is very nice and I am very pleased, but the instruction booklet came with the table was in Japanese. Huh? Ok, I assembled enough similar things to know what to do, but If the instruction were in English it would be more helpful. Included with the table there is a piece of black felt but I am not sure what that is for, unless I know how to read Japanese. I changed the rating from one star (from damaged item) to four stars instead of five stars because the assembly instruction is not in English. ... show more

Been searching for the perfect coffee table for a long time and this did not disappoint. I don't think I would have purchased it because there are so few reviews without seeing it in person but I saw it featured in a design blog and it looked beautiful in those pictures so I decided to take a risk - and it paid off!     • STUNNING but broken.
Oh my this table is gorgeous...but one of the screws on the underside of the table was screwed to deep and is popped through the top when delivered. Awaiting a new table. If the new table comes perfect, I will raise to a 5 star...because it is over the top nice!

WOW, beautiful table. Don't tighten the screws too tight otherwise it might split the top. Solid, pretty midbrown tones. I didn't install the shelf which made it look a bit like outdoor furniture. So we'll want to make sure the kids don't sit on it but still sturdy and an unbelievable find for under $200. ... show more

    • Beautiful table that scratches easily.
Table is beautiful but it scratches very easily. The instructions were written in Japanese but it was fairly simple to figure it out. If you can’t figure it out, I suggest using the google translate app in photo mode. It’s very sturdy and a great value. Only downside is the scratches.

    • Looks great when assembled
This looks great, and like it is much more expensive than it was! Unfortunately, it came with the wrong assembly directions (the directions were for a folding table), so it took us awhile to figure out how to put it together. In the end, one leg was shorter than the other three. The kit came with something to level the legs, so we put four on the short leg, and it doesn't wobble. Luckily, we have a rug that covers this.
