I have larger ones that are really not very effective in keeping the coffee hot for long, despite the double wall feature such as these too have. I've ordered a couple different sets of double-wall glass coffee mugs off Amazon in a never-ending quest to keep my coffee hotter for longer. This set of mugs arrived in a sturdy cardboard box (has nice graphics on the outside- good for gifting), and each mug was individually wrapped, so there was no breakage in transit. Included in the box were the two 16 ounce glass mugs and 2 long-handled spoons. The glass mugs are made out of very thin borosilicate glass, and feel very fragile. The handles are a bit overly large for my hands, and feel a bit uncomfortable/ unnatural to hold. Both mugs have very flat bottoms, and sit level on the counter. Overall, I like these mugs. I've been drinking coffee out of them for a week now, and they do a good job of maintaining the temperature for much longer than my ceramic mug does. I have a few issues with them, though: First- they are really thin. I'm pretty positive that they will not survive getting tipped over on the counter. Second- the handle design is not very comfortable. The handles are made from rectangular shaped glass, so when you hold the mug, you have corners poking against your fingers. Third- the bases are fairly small in diameter in comparison to the large diameter of the top of the mug, which makes them pretty unstable when the cup is full. Lastly- the mugs have a "conical" type shape (small at the bottom, and large at the top), which in addition to the possible balance issues, also creates a very large surface area of liquid at the top of the mug, which speeds up the cooling process of the liquid in the mug. The media could not be loaded. This is such a difference from regular coffee cups.. makes me feel classy and elegant. Feels fancy! I’m glad I purchased these. Definitely a step up from my usual mug!

These are great looking glass mugs. You get two in the box and two teaspoons. I ordered this because I'm a very visual person, so I wanted to see the color of my coffee or tea. It enhances the experience for me. This is the first time I've used borosilicate glass, which from what I understand, is more resistant to thermal shock, can handle higher temperatures, is stronger than normal glass, and maintains transparency better. So those are some great features. It's also very light. It almost feels like plastic, but you can tell it's not. I like it. The glasses stay nice and cool on the outside while keeping the drink hot on the inside. I ordered the 9oz, which is just enough for a measured cup of liquid (8oz). If you're using a Keurig Classic, that's the medium cup option. That's perfect for the Keurig, but when I make my own coffee, I prefer a little more, so I wish I would have ordered the larger 13 or 16 oz models. But it's still a nice mug that I've been using every day. One note, I've seen reviews of other glasses like this that have these double walls and people have said they tend to get water inside after being put in the dishwasher. This is common with all double wall glasses. There's a tiny silicone plug on the bottom that shrinks when the temperature from the dishwasher gets hot, which allows water to enter the plug. If that happens, I've found some great tutorials online to get it out. Basically, let the glass cool, let the stuck water sit over the plug, then pour hot water into the glass and the pressure will push the water out. ... show more

i like this set of 2 glass mug for my coffee and tea. the design is simple but elegant with double wall that keep drinks hot or cold for long time. the size is 9 oz which is good for my morning coffee or afternoon tea. i dont need too big mug. the glass is strong and heat resistant so i can hold it without burn my hand. the double wall also prevent condensation on outside when i have cold drinks. Pros: elegant double wall design good 9 oz size for coffee or tea heat resistant glass, no burn hands keep drinks hot or cold longer no condensation on outside easy to clean, no stain or odor Cons: the top part is a bit wide, can cause the tea to get cold fast this is nice set of glass mug for everyday use. it looks good and works well for both hot and cold beverages. just need to be careful not to drop and break the glass. ... show more
